Hi, my dr. ordered bloodwork for me in March that I finally need to complete in order to renew my prescription. I anticipate this being $115.

I picked up a second job but the work is inconsistent, I do not have a car, & I'm barely making anything at all. (Payment without fees taken out versus transportation costs)

With this, groceries, & meds, I anticipate needing about $700. I am very appreciative for all of the help I have received. Thank you ❀️

Venmo also @ cab972

$4/700, despite the notes this is not gaining traction, please keep boosting!

This is barely moving, please keep boosting!

Sylvia Dubois ( right) around 1883. Dubois was born into slavery around 1788/89 and died on May 27, 1888.

She was enslaved in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Dubois gained freedom after striking her mistress.

In 1883, her biography, "A Biography of The Slav Who Whipt Her Mistres and Gand Her Fredom," was published based on an interview with Dr. Cornelius Wilson Larison.

After gaining freedom, Dubois ran a tavern that she inherited from her grandfather until it was burned down.

She lived to be around 100 years old.

Campaign for Palestinian Poet and Songwriter Yaser Hamad

Hello All,

My friend @mariampoetry wanted to host a donation campaign for Yaser Hamad!

Yaser is a Rafah native and a prolific poet, writing songs for big name Palestinians singers like Muhammad Assaf (who sang the iconic song, "Dammi Falastini")! Here's a song he wrote for Assaf called "Ya Banat Bladna," which praises the girls and women of Palestine and their steadfastness.

Yaser's fiance was killed early on in the genocide and now he lives in a tent with his two daughters. Within the coming week by Sunday April 6th, we hope to raise $1000 USD to send to Yaser's family.

For those who are not aware, Mariam, the organizer, is a dear friend of mine in real life and a renowned Palestinian poet herself. She has been doing these donation campaigns to raise money for various friends of hers in Gaza, focusing on highlighting artists and their amazing talent. She has successfully sent money to multiple Palestinian artists through these campaign drives and hopes that everyone would be willing to help out with another campaign.

Please do donate if you can, or even just spread the word!

(P*yp*l: @ miriampoet)

This campaign only has $356! We are closing this campaign by Sunday so please consider donating!!!!

Dear friends, donors, supporters, and well-wishers,

We are a group of people from Sudan who fled our homeland due to conflict. Initially, we were over 500, but after a long and dangerous journey, only 120 of us made it to South Sudan. Sadly, not everyone survived, and it breaks our hearts to see our numbers continue to decline. Now, we are 110 people, desperately trying to reach Uganda for safety.

We are urgently seeking your help to make this journey. We have been stranded here for a long time, facing starvation and a lack of medical care. Many of our mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers have already passed away. With no one else to turn to, we are reaching out to you for support.

To reach Uganda, each person needs $500, which will cover:

β€’ $300 for transport

β€’ $70 for food during the journey

β€’ $120 for basic survival needs after arriving in Uganda

Since we are far from South Sudan’s capital, Juba, our journey will take four days. First, we must reach Juba, then travel for two days to Uganda. Once there, we will not stay in the capital, Kampala, but move directly to other areas for safety.

With 110 people, we need $55,000 to complete this journey. We also have 17 dogs and 8 cats, and while we would never want to leave them behind, we will do our best to bring them with us.

We could have moved earlier, but our GoFundMe has received only small donations, which have helped with medical care but not enough to escape.

THIS IS WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT NOWβ€”TO SURVIVE.

β€’ A $500 donation can save the life of one person in our community.

β€’ A $1,000 donation can help two people or even moreβ€”perhaps a child and a grandmother.

β€’ Any amount will contribute to someone’s survival, as donations add up to help each person make it.

We understand that $55,000 may seem like a large amount, but it is not just for usβ€”it is to save an entire community.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DON’T REACH $55,000?

As a community, we have made a heartbreaking decision: If we don’t raise the full amount, we will still attempt to move forward. However, we will have to vote on who gets to leaveβ€”prioritizing children, grandmothers, and people with disabilities. The rest will have to stay behind, hoping for another chance. It is a heavy decision, but we have no other option.

The profile picture on our GoFundMe was taken when we first arrived in South Sudan. The second image in this post shows our current realityβ€”the shelter we built while living here. https://gofund.me/12c12ab7

Thank you so much for your donations, which are truly saving lives. Even the truly small donations are making a big difference, and if you cannot afford donating, reblogging is a huge help. We appreciate your time and kindness in understanding our desperate situation.

May you always be healthy.

Urgent relocation for the Balla family!

Current progress: $381/680 AUD

Vetting information: shared by Sara (bsonblast) and was promoted by Jin (jinforjustice) on ig

Adel Balla and his family were displaced from their home in Khartoum and are now trapped in Omdurman, where their situation has become dire. They live under intense shelling in the crossfire of the SAF and RSF with limited access to electricity, food, and water. They have been trying to gather the resources to afford travel to relocate to a safer area since late January, but they still do not have the funds they need.

$299 is needed to achieve the short term goal for their relocation. Please share and donate if you can so they can finally get someplace safer. The family's campaign has been stagnant for 4 days now, and that is time they do not have.

It is upsetting to see a family surviving a genocide lower their goal because they are not receiving consistent donations and support. Please consider donating to this Sudanese family of 13! They have an original goal of 20K, but since they go on with days, weeks, and months without donations, so they have decided to raise 10K and close the fundraiser for good! $5,638 USD has been raised. There is $4,362 left to go! You can match me. I have given $5, but you're more than welcome to contribute any amount!

Verification: Shared by Sara (@/BSonBlast on BlueSky, IG, TikTok, and Twitter) and listed on sudanfunds.com!

Hi all! Recently, Marah @mahrahpalestine has not only had her previous blog terminated, but her family has been unable to transfer money from GFM. This has been happening with quite a few Palestinian campaigns lately. I will now be hosting their family's campaign on Chuffed, which is openly pro-Palestine!

Please support this campaign! Thank you!!

My campaign transfers have been stopped since the beginning of November, and I fear that it will take more time or the amount will be lost due to Govand's deliberate policy of deleting some Palestinian accounts. So I need your support here to help my family right now, and I swear my family needs you more than ever.
