Front and back of the Ace of Wands from a hypothetical Sailor’s Tarot deck with scrimshaw inspired designs. It was created for the @publishinggoblin’s upcoming project the Alleyway Oracles.

EDIT: A full Sailor’s Tarot deck will be available for preorder on kickstarter in March, 2026! Check the Sailor’s Tarot tag on my blog for updates!

Something I found hilarious the other day was seeing one of those “I bought this before Elon Musk went insane” bumper stickers, except it wasn’t on a Tesla. It was on the most beat up 20+ year old Toyota Corolla I’ve ever seen that was missing three hubcaps and had no less than seven different dents in the rear bumper. yeah I do not doubt that you bought that one before musk went insane

i guess it's my fault for talking about Real Stuff in an instagram comment section but radfem lesbians sure are Something

“Shadow and light are the most stable and perfect tools of creation: they unite colors, shapes, and dimensions,” says Moldovan artist Sergiu Ciochină, adding that “shadows move us through diversity, enhancing our perception, while light fills us with the joy of discovery.” In saturated hues, he captures dappled sunlight as it filters through the trees and the rich tones of the golden hour as it casts deep bluish-purple shade onto the sides of houses.
Taking cues from the Impressionists, Ciochină focuses on the nuances of light and its ability to reveal outlines and forms. He works in thick, impasto oil paint on board, emphasizing the shapes of windows, doors, and stoops and transforming otherwise ordinary buildings into compositions glowing with the patterns of foliage, architectural angles, and the texture of brushstrokes. “The symbiosis I create between nature and architecture is intended to evoke a love for space,” he says.

…psychiatry assumes that society does not cause distress in biologically normal people, who are considered biologically normal at least in part because they are economically productive. This assumption permits the conclusion that if a person is distressed to the point of unproductivity, it is because that person—not society—is abnormal. Thus, psychiatry’s commitment to biological essentialism not only masks the role of the constructed sociopolitical environment in creating distress but depoliticizes it by characterizing that allegedly irrational distress as induced by biological abnormality.

i hate enforced scarcity in ebooks and audiobooks at libraries. hey you know how the one advantage of digital media is that endless copies can be distributed simultaneously? what if we didn't do that.

what is the point of this

people will say "why cant the eldritch gods just be nice to humans :((" and then kill a bug for existing near them

my dearly beloved mutual you cant just leave this in the tags

While exploring a vast and inscrutable city which seems to predate life on earth I am gently picked up by something incomprehensible with the higher-dimensional equivalent of a cup and piece of paper, then lovingly set outside in my natural habitat. Unfortunately the being exists outside of time and can't really tell human cities apart from one another so I appear without warning in ancient sumer.

Comic I made a few years ago for an anthology

oh my god this is wonderful

Free Bulk Covid Tests?

If any of my followers are connected to food pantries or mutual aid orgs, a friend of mine just found a bulk order form for free covid tests from HHS and it seems to have worked. There is a minimum quantity of 300 tests and no required proof of affiliation, so you could just get them and distribute them to your community (as my friend is doing).

I just got 5 cases of tests to distribute in my community for free
