I am a twenty three year old who lives in southern appalachia.

My current obsession is the Empyrean series.

I dabble in writing fanfiction whilst working on my own series of novels, which is hard when you're attention span is not very long. My ao3 is the same as my tumblr but forewarning in case you go exploring, the one work posted is in the middle of being heavily edited.

i was reading this fanfic and the mc had a similar look to an oc i made when i was like ten that i've altered over the years.

Was trying to make this post without any tags cause it's a rant lol.

But for the longest I debated on incorporating Applachian culture into my writings bc of the stereotypes on it but it's my roots and the one thing I've learned to actually enjoy.

So many people think horribly of the word "Appalachia" and immediately their minds go to the worse stereotype and it's so annoying.

I really stepped back and reanalyzed the places I grew to love when Hurricane Helene came through and caused utter destruction.

Hell, you couldn't even get to some places because the highways were decimated.

But people are resilient and it just gave me more courage to incorporate the culture, scenary, experiences I've had into my writings and I'm so excited. :)))))

Let me preface this by saying I'm a collector of weird prefumes/colognes and my favorite brand to buy from is Zoologist.

Now I have three scents that I think fit Garrick, Dain, and Xaden lmfao in case you're weird like me and imagine what characters smell like.

Garrick- Squid by Zoologist. Idk...Garrick gives me mysterious vibes and that scent is mysterious to me. Or you could use this one for any scribe too bc it has notes of ink.

Dain- Koala by Zoologist.

and Xaden would be Elephant by Zoologist.

i hope that dye immogen uses in her hair withholds when it rains cause god...

my hair is merlot in color and when it rains...i look like carrie.

I was curious if the world in the Empyrean series consisted of more land masses than just the Continent and ig this part confirmed it.

Which is cool and just means there's about to be a whole bunch of new lore unlocked, potentially, with the next few books. :)
