The wildest thing about Ben 10 is that it took until 2005 for someone to have the idea "what if a kid could turn into a bunch of aliens" like this isn't obviously the coolest and most marketable premise for anything ever. Each design is a new toy. A new powerset. Come on.
But to prove that it wasn't a fluke, they continued to have the best ideas for every aspect of it. How does he transform? A cool watch you can also sell as a toy. That watch's name? Omnitrix. Say it. It's so satisfying. How many aliens? Ten. Nice round number. The kid's name? Ben. The show's name? Ben Ten. His full name is Benjamin Tennyson, a normal, plausible name, but he also turns into 10 aliens.
Bigger brands dream about this synergy. Better writers would kill for this coherence. So holistic. So intuitive. The identity alone!!! The retro alien sound motif? Chilling. The green? Any other color would be wrong. The kirby krackle pattern? It seems so obvious in retrospect. The roadtrip format? Genius. Lesser writers would've done the spider-man high school thing. His arch nemesis being Cthulhu darth vader? Inspired, iconic, intimidating!
The execution has its highs and lows, but the idea??? Game changing. So self-evident that it seems inevitable. If Ben 10 didn't exist, it would be necessary to invent him.
Me when i actually start to enjoy the show very insanely much outside of tks IM TWEAKING I LOVE IT its actually incredible, ben and gwens character dynamic aside from being super full of potential is honestly really good and fun. im yapping yapping YAPPING!!!

HEAVY on the katara and sokka. AND katara and toph- both of those are PEAK tickle. katara's too uptight and needs to be humbled, and sokka+toph are too unserious and ALSO need to humble. a tickle would fix this man..... i used to be lee zuko number one hater, but now im number one fan tbh i want lee zuko :D it was just the ooc fics of him making me hate HELPPPP theres some GREAT ones out there tho. I digress the sully kids get on very well!!! I like them as a wholesome family a lot tbh, theyre epic as heck. spider and kiri tickles though.... FUCKKKK YESSSS Team Sonic specifically is honestly peakest of peak tickles, Tails was my fave lee back in the day b/c of sonic's annoying big brother energy. he's the target. may be why the 3 heelers were very appealing to me- knuckles thinks he's above tickling (he's THAT lee) and sonic talks a big game before he's caught. honestly idk why i havent drawn him. wait no i know i have trauma from drawing sonics head as a kid i COULD NOT DO IT

bro this has been taking over my very being. i would draw 1 million tk drawigns of them if i could. THE VOICES. These are rough but also awesome and not all of them, life is busy so tickling is very little i won't be doing the standard individual chaacter lee+ler hc format for these because i haven't thought about that- i've kind of just thought up little factoids and stories!
- Reed's ticklishness affects his elastic state- befause of reflexes, he'll bend back into his original shape or contort all wonky like. He's surprisingly weak to this- once he got tickled in a battle and it was actually ridiculous to watch, he started flailing and being like, less physically capable. He eventually developed an anti tickle failsafe mechanism on his suit. Better late than never.
- Tickling doesn't often cross his mind, being a smarty pants... But because of this, it always manages to catch him off guard. The most frequent perpetrator is Sue because ummm of couRSE IT IS!!!! LIKE UMMM YEAH. It's usually during more intimate moments together though- they're such a wholesome couple I love them a lot like one million times. I feel like she ambushes him, usually while he's thinking hard or working, but his intellect means that he comes prepared and can just streeeeetch and reach his arms up to her sides (where i hc her to be most ticklish) and just tickle her back. it's a whole thing because they're like... my favorite beautiful couple!!!!
- Sometimes he uses his ability to nullify ticklishness to his advantage with the other three. Why would he not??? Because it's literally canon that they get into a bunch of silly trouble, most notably Ben and Johnny- both of which are hard to pin down. (being a Thing and a Human Torch respectively… OUCHH) However…. they CAN get pinned down because according to liya rule, everybody is ticklish until proven not ticklish, and if not ticklish, try again. A drawing I did of Sasha from Psychonauts (I havent posted it but it's there) honestly proves this rule BUT IM GETTING SIDETRACKED???
- Sue is so ticklish oh my lord what the heck. She never really gets targeted amidst all the roughhousing but when she does she becomes like. the main target because her reactions are ADORABLE, she squeals and swats away and even turns invisible to attempt to avoid them, sometimes this works and she slinks away to potentially get revenge on any of them
- She tends to target Johnny and Reed ngl
- Post-Thing, Ben isn't ticklish, however he is in one SPECIFIC spot, and this information is literally canon. Like... it's his ticklish spot. Like the one. I think it's suuuuuuuuuuuper awesomes.
- ANYWAYS ITS RIGHT UNDER HIS ARM as reed has demonstrated. It's implied to be a serious fatal weakness in both instances as demonstrated by Reed and Franklin. Reed first found it after creating one of the many cures for Ben's thing-ness. During a physical exam (gotta check for like real skin. Not rocks), Reed touched the underside of his right arm and he just tried not to laugh (being mostly made out of non-ticklishness made that area just concentrated tickle..........) until he did. THEY BOTH HID THIS FROM JOHNNY AND SUE.... until johnny somehow found out.
- Franklin learned how to deal with the Thing from Reed's expertise. Alicia also eventually found out during one of their encounters. Maybe she was dusting his rocky surface off with like, a detailling brush. Theyre so cute together bro I cant i cant even Im going to die
- Sue telling him that it's really hard for Johnny to flame on when tickled more than made up for it though. Because it is. He's a ticklish dude, and that makes his canonical heartthrob status like INCREASE esp with this community (we exist in marvel too right?!?!!)
