To be fair as a European I also am very weirded out by the straight lines of US states, following natural landmarks is the way to go, he's right

Different fae have different preferences for how they mark borders, nymph groves are typically pretty solid, marked with trees, whereas pixies are more malleable with the dges of flower fields and grass. the borders of the whole forest are obviously not super soild because the entire forest isnt, but Virgil likes hill ridges so borders he set himself are often extra wobbly from aerial views.

Anonymous asked:

would he know what a state is in like the general terms? but not what the us states are? or does he not even know of the concept at all?

he is gonna HATE those straight lines, mainly. fae put their borders along at least some kind of natural feature - a river, a treeline, the edge of a field of flowers. the idea of arbitrarily cutting the ecosystem in two would be viewed as the territorial equivalent of cutting a baby in half king solomon style.

I feel like the "which state makes the best butt plug" is a laoft group chat conversation ๐Ÿ˜‚

this is SO funny especially because they would first have to explain states to virgil

do y'all remember when they found all that tf art in Osamu Tezuka's drawer post-mortem because I think about it often

anyway keep chasing your bliss and draw weird shit, god knows we need that right now

Anonymous asked:

i love that laoft virgil is canonically assless. he tries to sit on his partners laps and theyre like "i love you but you cannot sit like that, your ass it just skin and bones its Painful"

this is why he's relegated to head-in-lap laptime aksjdhkjahd

Not the topic at hand atm, but I love hearing about Sherwood tries so hard with bby Logan (regardless of au!) even tho he has like uhhh no idea wtf is going on with this kid.

there is, perhaps, not a person on earth who takes his hippocratic oath more seriously than sherwood

imagining loaft lesbians logan coming to terms with her faeness quicker, like yeah a lot about being fae seems like a curse, the immortality and being trapped by running water, but then she starts going through a 'female' puberty completely without any conscious input and is like oh maybe my body isnt actually working to make me miserable. sometimes there are things about me that dont make logical sense but maybe thats ok

aslkdjASLKD one of the vignettes already written is about this nonnie we are so in sync

so does her body not go fully 'cis' bc she was raised with humans? would her body have fully switched if she had been raised with fae? can fae even do that?

Avatar

they can do that! but its less common than you'd think even among fae that a human would call 'trans' because they dont have that hard association of genitals with gender.

so Logan looks like a human trans woman because thats how she sees herself, she likes being trans and doesnt want to be cis, so her body doesnt go that route

Anonymous asked:

'do you feel kinship with this animal' ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

you know how some people consider vet medicine and pediatric more difficult than human medicine because some or all of your patients are nonverbal? Sherwood has that AND that he cant even figure out what phylum this baby is in

Anonymous asked:

now I'm imagining an extremely awkward conversation between newly out trans kid Logan and her parents.

"do you want to go on puberty blockers or hormones, honey? ... um, will those work on you?"

just. supportive Dot and Larry as usual, but even more out of their depth than normal (and of course Logan has no idea either)

they do worry about this for a few years (she comes out at age 6, immediately after the events of every other page is a mirror) but by the time thomas starts going through puberty its immediately obvious her body is doing uh. something to facilitate transition? and Sherwood is fucking BAFFLED but she does proceed to develop exactly as she would if she was on blockers and hormones.

there is a hot minute where sherwood is wondering if her body's going to go fully to the cis end of the spectrum and is trying to figure out how to determine if fae are sequential hermaphrodites in the scientific sense. shows her a picture of some clownfish like "do you feel kinship with this animal" in a desperate attempt to figure out how he should be measuring her pubescent growth.
