Stars' Baubles

@umbralstars

Y'all can call me Stars. I draw & write things on the occasion. 23. He/Him or They/Them pronouns. Polytheist (Ptolemaic Kemetic). Multi-fandom blog. But mostly Fire Emblem πŸ’™

Decided I should make an actual pinned post about myself

Hello, my name is Stars and this is my main blog. I don't actually have any side blogs, so anything my little squirrel brain is interested in at the moment is what you're gonna get. I post fanfics and art whenever my brain chooses to co-operate

- Stars Writes / Stars Draws (my creative tags)

- Stars Rambles (general blogging tag)

My current interest is Fire Emblem as a general, but a particular focus on Three Houses currently with Heroes, Fates, and a few others on the side occasionally. I mostly post about my worldbuilding for Faerghus (or FΓ³dlan in general), and a lot about my ocs. Please note that I am very fond of the Blaiddyds

My AO3 if you're interested in learning more!

Whoaaa Rose Gold Pendant!!

I made this the other day:

You're thinking, 'that double-terminated flower agate point was glued onto the back'. Wrong! it's all wired, no jewellery glue, and she's secure too. I'm unfortunately not very good at taking pictures so I do want you to know that the whole thing is a lot more pink in person, less yellowy-sepia.

anyway you can see it here on me etsy shop where it's listed for 45 canadian buckarooskis:

I think Wyveria is the only map without the Exquisite Fossil gathering points (just has the Blackened Fossil point). I think this might just be a balance thing with the trading system, because the items you get from Exquisite Fossils are often what the Sild trader will ask for in exchange for the village's unique food item, and they probably want you to have to work harder to get the Moxie skill then just walking 100 feet outside of Sild and grabbing a rock

That said, i am both relieved and unnerved that the map has less fossils overall compared to the other maps, considering that we are in the ruins. A city. Where people lived. People who had bones

Consider: Their bones are in the wylk that's encrusting the city.

Tho also considering how the city was completely abandoned for all this time realistically they got scattered about by wildlife and decayed/fragmented over time etc etc

Do we think Zoh Shia was reared at all. Like I'm sure it came out the size it is now but did it ever actually interact with any of people who made it. Did they rush to get it outside because destruction was knocking on their door or was there just enough time for them to take it out of whatever it was incubating in and lay it out on the floor and just look at it. Did the Wylk still clinging to it from the womb keep it calm just long enough for it to look back at them before it leveled the tower. Do you think that when Zoh Shia experienced its first moment of clarity, alone in a sea of fire, its first real thought was wondering where everyone went

A hero without a cape

Her name is Theresa Kachindamoto, and she is a senior chief - political leader of a region with a population of about 900,000 people.

She didn’t run for election; she was appointed, without her knowledge, while she was living and working in a completely different part of the country. She just received a call one day telling her to come back to her childhood home, because she was in charge now.

So she did; and when she arrived, she discovered widespread sexual abuse of children. She browbeat 50 uncooperative local leaders into accepting her decision to annul all the marriages. She then fired four of them when they continued to allow children to be married off in their areas. She still faces widespread opposition from parents who consider it their right to sexually abuse their daughters if they want to; but Kachindamoto very evidently does not give a fuck, and is continuing to use political and legal means to protect children in the region.

She’s not just an anonymous do-gooder; she’s an effective political leader despite incredibly difficult circumstances. Theresa Kachindamoto.

[Image Description: a twitter post from user Al Jazeera English @ AJEnglish that reads β€œThis woman has broken up 850 child marriages and banned sexual initiation camps in Malawi”

Below the text is a picture of Theresa Kachindamoto. She is a dark skinned woman with short hair. She is outside and smiling. End ID]

got worried checking the dates on this post and seeing 2016, knowing how risky this kind of political activism is

good news: Kachindamoto is still in office, and last year (2024) she received honorary doctorates from 2 universities and was given the African Genius Award πŸ™

β€œI am looking respectfully” β€œim so normal about this” can you bark actually? Can you hit yourself over the head w a frying pan like a cartoon wolf? Can you look at it derangedly please?

Head in my hands this cant be the thing that blows up

How can you bark when you’re afraid of the reblog button ?

want to be clear that if i ever talk about a headcanon and then later discuss a headcanon that is directly contradictory to the first one, that’s because headcanons exist in a quantum state where they are all simultaneously true and not true up until the point where i discuss it in detail, in which case that is the one that is true in that instance. schroedinger’s headcanons

that’s what characters ARE. not people, but potential. many things, as needed, no matter how mutually exclusive.
