Just Kiro Things

@unabashedrebel / unabashedrebel.tumblr.com

Hi i'm Sean. I write things and stuff here about WrA's (H)Kirollis. I also like to party like the Ewoks did after they defeated the empire. Feel free to send me stuff, message me, ask for my discord, yell random things in my ask box, whatevs floats your boat. This is pretty much an ooc meme blog. Icon art by @Frrrozi

Soriya: Do you really think this is going to work?

Kirollis, holding an Ouija Board: Yeah definitely. People talk to ghosts all the time.

Soriya, taking a deep breath: Okay here we go. First time talking to mom.

Ouija Board: D

Ouija Board: O

Ouija Board: R

Ouija Board: K

Soriya, groaning: Are you fucking with me? Not coo-

Ouija Board: S

Soriya: Is that her?!?

Kirollis, stunned, under his breath: …holy shit

the most interesting topic you’ve researched for a fic

Hi Saf! 👋

19) the most interesting topic you’ve researched for a fic

Wow you’re going to make me bust out my scary search history for this huh?

I think one of the most interesting topics, to me personally, was probably my deep dive into the Illidari. They’re just such interesting trash raccoons to me. I really loved, and liked encorporating, who they were prior. I mean they had an entire life before they became what they were, and I felt that was so juicy. Not to mention the rituals, the way specific demons impacted their mental states, tendencies, and physical quirks. How they went from villains of an expansion (and their time as such) to becoming pseudo heroes who actually achieved their orders goals- and subsequently what they did in a world post-Legion. These topics and more were so fun to dive into and really helped me create my own walking Greek tragedy without it feeling forced.

Okay okay, my love for stinky demon hunters on pause- probably one of the more interesting topics I jumped into was either mechanical engineering (Kirollis) or- or- the effects that extreme gravity has on the human body. The latter was actually kinda scary to read about.

favorite weather for writing?

Hi Iossei! 👋

15) Favorite Weather for Writing

lol! I was wondering if someone was going to ask this one. Classically I’ve done all my best writing in a windowless cubical dimly lit by candle computer light. I wouldn’t even know if there was a preferred weather I had, but maybe, just maybe, I feel it in my bones when I sit down to write stuff.

I don’t really have a weather preference but I do actually tend to do a little bit better between the morning and afternoon. When it’s too early in the day to go get stoned and lazy.

I’m curious if this is a thing. If you have a preferred weather condition for when you write hit me in the comments!

Thanks for the ask @losseignol !

Fic meme things: where do you get your inspiration?

Avatar

Hi Elu! 👋 I swear I didn’t ask the same question on purpose. Great minds or something 😅

14) Where do you get your inspiration?

Im not sure I really have a great answer for this. Generally my characters inspire me, or the current events in WoW, whether in game channels or RP circles. One of my favorite lines is just saying that my characters are pretty much fully realized and never have to think too hard about them. They basically all write themselves at this point and I describe my inspiration as lucidly hallucinating and than scribbling down what I got out of it. It makes me feel like one of those scribes who is blessed with prophecy. They do their own thing, I just write it all down. If you think I’m in control here I am definitely not.

Early on in conception I did draw a lot from comic book storylines and storytelling beats. I’ve just refined them to fit my own characters and draw traits or themes I wanted to express. But as time goes on they’re more lose character inspirations that each character has more or less grown beyond.

Bigger storylines I’ve done like some of the chaptered works I’ve written have kind of come from the same slapstick style of me picking a topic, like an ancient Pandarian legend or a ground soldiers point of view of the Burning of Teldrassil. Those plot lines were like ‘let me tell this story’ and it just spitballs into something cool and I’m generally very surprised at how coherent it comes out.

But at the end of the day my inspirations kind of like a plastic bag floating in the wind. There’s no rhyme or reason to it, it just happens.

Thanks @eluviannaa !

Hi Elu! 👋

-I’ve been a gamer for as long as I can remember, and I come from a long line of gamers. It’s true, I game like my father before me- and his father before him who used to play board games.

A couple of my favorite series include, but are not limited to; Metal Gear, Legend of Zelda, The Last of Us, Dark Souls, Pokémon (I know, I know, those last two are opposites. I have a wide pallet).

-When it comes to RP I have three main characters; a rogue (this blog), a DH, and a monk. I don’t pick favorites or anything but DH’s and their lore have a special place in my heart. I couldn’t really explain it without some word salad, I just think they’re neat. A lot of their baked in themes resonate with me and I felt really allowed me to build a walking tragedy of an OC. Seriously, don’t get me started, I can wax poetic about their lore and my interpretations of it for weeks and still keep it fresh.

Thanks new friend @eluviannaa !

♡♡♡ - Facts about the 'mun'

Hi Kharris! 👋

-I’m sure you guys already know this, and I’m not sure it’s a fun fact. But! I am like really bad at keeping up with tumblr asks. There was a time I was a machine at it (back when I could spend my whole work day on here) but boy am I forgetful now. Most of the time I’m like yeah let me get to that when I get a minute! And…. Yeah. You know the rest.

-Speaking of the tumblr heyday I’ve written full chaptered storylines for most of my characters on here. I’ve been reviewing a lot of them lately for funsies and honestly? I kind of want to get back into it. I stopped to focus more on in-game RP and that is really fun too, but there’s something that hits different about a tight story arc where you get to weave things in and out and show off a character in a way where they undeniably get the spotlight you want to show them in.

-I’m going to stick to the theme here. Did you know I’ve been on this website for like a decade now? They thought they were gonna get us when Verizon bought us out but look at us. We’re still posting nonsense. Love that for this place.

Hi Saf! 👋

-I work in IT and I will tell you to turn it off and back on if you ever ask me for tech advice. That’s a real thing. I can’t even begin to express how often that solves an issue. I also can’t even begin to explain how many people lie about it and say they rebooted. It’s wild. It’s also really funny to hear people back track when I just do a reboot and it suddenly works.

-My hair is super long! Like mid-back, tie it up in a manbun and call it a day long. It started out as a covid thing and I just kept it going, turns out I got some luscious locks.
