part two of a three part series.
summary: when jeno's girlfriend left him to deal with fatherhood alone. he decided he'd never let anyone in his or his daughter's life. that was until he met you. his neighbour whom his daughter seemed to love way too much
Jeno was exhausted.
Finals week had drained every ounce of energy from his body, and all he wanted to do was collapse into bed and sleep for as long as possible. But with Jiwoo, that was never an option.
His two-year-old daughter had a strict bedtime routine—she went to sleep by ten and woke up at nine. Sometimes, she stirred in the middle of the night, but most of the time, she slept peacefully. Jeno, on the other hand, had no such luck. His sleep schedule was a complete mess, thanks to late-night study sessions.
Tonight, at least, Jiwoo was already tucked in. With her warm little body curled up under the blankets, he kissed her forehead before stepping out of the bedroom.

things sm is/has been doing to undermine ten's upcoming solo comeback
- no full instagram layout during comeback announcement, which is usually standard for sm releases (it is unclear whether this is a ten only issue or because instagram recently changed their layout to be less accommodating towards the usual comeback posts, but we'll see once stunner promo is done)
- ten's comeback is overlapped w/ promo for another member's solo debut (this is not the first time this has happened to ten specifically)
- stunner is not listed for preorder on sm's global shop, but another member's album is already available for preorder (stunner has not been listed since the preorder period began)
- nct's social media has been changed over from stunner to another member's release that is not happening for another 3 weeks (ten's album will be out in less than a week, and the change comes mere hours after his prerelease bambola came out. this makes ten's release look more like a single drop than a full on album release.)
- ten's prerelease bambola is not available on streaming platforms. this has not occurred for prereleases from other group members/units.
- giving ten a korean title track but not letting him promote on music shows during release week due to group obligations (for context, artists are more likely to get a music show win if they promote during release week since they can obtain broadcast points. not getting a win was something ten wanted to improve on for this comeback since he was unable to do so for his debut last year. however, it is no good giving him the resources for a win if he won't even have the chance to execute it, especially if the artist himself is advocating for this change. ten was also absent from group schedules for ~1 month after his solo debut so he could promote, so it is weird he doesn't have the same opportunity this time around)
- little to no promo on the smtrue thailand social media accounts (sm's thai accounts) despite being the company's only thai artist
- concerts are being announced only a month out from the dates, and fans are finding out through third-party sources instead of official group accounts
and these are just things that have happened for this comeback. sm has been pulling these tricks on ten since his debut in 2016.
just to clarify: these are all grievances directed towards the COMPANY. i have NOTHING against the artists that happen to be involved in this.

ღ crush #1 mark was yn's first crush ever. their mom’s were best friends, which led to them meeting and becoming friends. although she was always shy around boys, mark made her feel safe and understood. however, mark never really saw her as anything more than a friend, and when she confessed to him in middle school, he gently turned her down, saying they’d be better off as friends and he was right. yn is mark's absolute best friend in the whole wide world. they laugh about it all the time now because the memory is funny to look back on.
ღ crush #2 jaemin was one of the popular guys in school—player, confident, and always surrounded by a group of friends. yn found herself drawn to him because of his outgoing personality and the way he lit up a room when he entered. despite the difference in their social circles, yn had a soft spot for jaemin. she admired how he never cared what people thought of him and how he’d occasionally show a softer side, like when he helped her with a school project. however, jaemin wasn’t the most emotionally available, and his flirty behavior led yn to believe he was just playing around.
ღ crush #3 haechan was the charming, athletic jock that everyone loved to be around. he was always cracking jokes and making everyone laugh, and yn found his sense of humor irresistible. yn and haechan would often bump into each other at school events, and while they didn’t really hang out much, there was always a playful flirtation between them. yn liked the idea of dating someone who could make her laugh and feel carefree. however, she was never sure if he liked her back, and haechan was always the type to talk with every girl, making her unsure about his intentions.
ღ crush #4 jaehyun was her older brother's best friend. they grew up together and he treated her like a sister. he was very caring, sweet, and protective of her. yn thought she was ready to confess to him, so she planned everything out. finally, jaehyun had come to her house to see her older brother, but this time, he came with a guest. he came over with the intentions of introducing his new girlfriend. yn was absolutely heartbroken and pretty much tried avoiding him at all costs.
ღ crush #5 jeno and yn met each other in high school. the two were in the same big friend group, but they weren't too close. yn liked him because of how he treated people, how kind he was, and of course, how cute he was. they talked to each other from time to time, but they liked each other from a distance. as they were getting closer, jeno completely disappears one day. no one had ever heard from him since then. yn was devastated when jeno was gone. something about him was different from all of her other crushes. that was until a new kpop group, dream, debuted. jeno's disappearance was because of his training to become a kpop idol.

“Your last patient is here,” Your assistant, Park Jisung opens up the door to inform you in alert seeing as you’re leaving.
You furrow your eyebrows stopping in your actions of removing your hospital coat. “Aren’t I done for the evening?”
“No,” He shakes his head as you open up your agenda book, just as he continues to update you. “Uh, it’s Huang Ren Jun. The patient who called in last Tuesday.” You see the appointment that has been booked for the evening, however, you don’t remember writing it in. Especially for this time when you’d knock off from work. “Should I call him up? Or are you leaving?”
You sigh before placing the book down and placing the coat back on. “Call him in.” You can't deny a patient's right to check on their mental health, it's the reason why you're considering staying back for this patient. This sudden patient.
After several minutes of waiting in your office. There’s a knock on your door, before a frail man enters. You see his eyes first before his entire self. Reason being because his eyes evoke this pure warmth, a gleaming glow with little sparkles when meeting your gaze. Gentle are his blinks flattering his eyes, they twinkle with such a tenderness. It causes your walls to break a little. He's looking at you like you're such a precious gem. However it's when he fully gets in do you sense the aura around him. His presence casts a spell on the afternoon sky because in an instant, drizzles of rain sprinkle down.
