Lately, as we all know, a lot of things feel so very bad all the time, but spending three days with my best friend (whom I usually only get to see once a year) in Seattle two weeks ago felt genuinely so good, and I will be holding on to that joy for as long as I possibly can.

What can I expect my first time in Tokyo?
Crowds, crowds, and more crowds. Great shopping/fashion. Cutesy cartoon mascots for everything (hi come talk to me about kawaii culture and its link to soft power and historical revisionism). Amazing food. No trashcans anywhere. Shohei Ohtani everywhere.
There's actually so much I could say but it might be better if I knew specifically where in Tokyo you'll be going/what you'll be doing. So please message me if you want a more detailed answer!

A text from Bruce to Stephen Graham (the actor) as revealed on the Today Show by Stephen:

Absolutely nothing worse than finding out that you share interests with someone you hate. Has you thinking things like fuck you I'm better at enjoying star wars than you are
