wedding anniversary

I woke up this morning and chose violence.

weird way how to start this but it is what it is. so, I decided to improve my writing (cuz it desperately needs an upgrade) by writing small drabbles. this is actually the first one and I have absolutely no idea why I decided to do this to myself (and you too)

also, forgive me if it isn't perfect, just like I said I'm trying to improve my writing

this is a levi x gn!reader drabble and if there is one thing I can say about it it's pain (you'll see why) I listened to harry stile's fine line while writing this and let me tell you, it just got worse

This day needs to be perfect.

That was the only thought running through Levi's mind the entire day as he worked on the preparations. It was your fifth wedding anniversary, and it had to be just as magical as the day you pledged your hearts to each other for eternity. Levi was well aware that his lover disliked when it was 'too much.' Even your wedding was small and simple, with only your closest friends and family in attendance. You were both unfit for a life of wealth. It was never your intention to make everything grand. The soldier life you both were living didn’t allow much luxury in your lives anyway.

“My sweet little baby” I say … when it’s in fact a middle aged man

what doesn’t kill you… `𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐔𝐒 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 - 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘤𝘰

Warnings: Arcane spoilers, drug use, blood, violence, typical Arcane stuff.

Pairing: Silco x f!reader

Dear, Silco.

Before I begin, you should know how difficult it is for me to put my feelings into words. So, please accept my apologies if this letter does not come across as sincere as I had hoped.

I'll most likely be long gone by the time you read this letter. And the most important thing you should know is that it was not your fault. The events of the previous few days had had a profound effect on me. Every day, something happened that made me question my beliefs, feelings, and power that I held.

It all began when we went to see Ren. God, that little girl. She was the one who started it all, and everything went downhill from there. When I saw Marcus's body on the bridge that day, I realized Ren will be alone. And that was something I wanted to change.

I didn’t mean it.

Of course, I didn’t.

It was an accident. He was in the way. They all made me so angry that I just snapped…. And then I killed him.

But I didn’t mean it. He knew that. Silco knew that. He wasn’t angry at me because it wasn’t my fault.

Wasn’t it?

Your stride was slow. For once, you wished to enjoy the place you had despised your entire life, to leave it behind and never return. Your life had been turned upside down in the last few days. You had transformed from a woman who doesn't care about anything to a woman who feels everything.

And the day it all turned upside down was the day you met Ren.

With her bright smile, that little girl was able to heal your broken and rotten heart. When you left Marcus' house that day, you refused to admit it. You couldn't believe that one small child could do such a thing to the most dangerous and feared woman in Zaun. Yet here you were, walking through the filthy streets of the Undercity to the bridge that would lead you to the little redhead.

Note your surprise when you strolled into Silco's office and found Finn dead on the floor, Sevika's weapon covered in blood, and Silco sitting by his desk, unfazed. At some point you even considered walking out of the room and pretend you haven’t seen anything.

"I'm assuming the meeting went well." You entered the room with your eyebrows raised. Silco gave you a sidelong glance before returning his focus to the paper in front of him.

As you approached, Sevika kicked the body aside so you could sit in the chair Finn had previously occupied. You took a seat and leaned back in the chair, nodding you head in thanks.

“Where were you?”

You were at the Last Drop. You sat in a secluded corner, from which you could see the entire bar, as you always did. You were sipping your drink peacefully, your ever-watching eyes observing the room around you. The day appeared to be going well. Silco's appearance, however, with two buff men behind him, caused you to tense. Silco's ability to locate you in the midst of the crowd sometimes astounded you, it only meant that the deal was urgent. He made a motion with his head for you to stand up and follow him.

You did exactly that. But you weren't prepared for the sigh you were about to see.

The bridge that linked two cities was in shambles, with dead bodies strewn about. The ground was covered in dust and ruins. It was a horrifying sigh. The fog in the air made visibility difficult, but once it cleared a little, it revealed the horrors that had occurred.

You did, in the end, help Silco fix the mess he had made. You simply desired the job to be completed as quickly as possible. That was one of your qualities. You were enraged at first. But no matter how much you claimed to despise Silco for withholding such vital information from you, you couldn't stay angry for long.

Yet for one thing, you will hold a grudge. And you will do it till the day you die.

Silco's desperation was abundantly clear to you. You could imagine how the man felt when you were engulfed in his arms at that precise moment. Your mind completely shattered. But you never could’ve imagined that Silco will take this step forward.

“You said you could control her. I lost six officers. Six!” What better way to start your day than by listening to an enraged topsider who got himself into this situation? Silco's ability to listen to the Sheriff's continual whining puzzled you.

You and Silco were not surprised to find Marcus standing in your doorway after the events of the day before. Silco was just describing to you what Jinx had done the night before. She allegedly not only blew up a structure, killing six officers but also stole a gemstone. When you first saw the blue, gleaming ball, you understood Piltover had taken the designation of "city of progress" seriously. The Hexgates came first, and now this. You were becoming increasingly concerned about Undercity's future.

You stood near the window, not giving Marcus a second glance. Because you knew that if you focused your attention on him, he wouldn't be able to say anything. You had no idea if you were the issue or not, but Marcus was afraid of you for some reason. Silco didn't even frighten him that much.

Being a girl is: wanting to go to bed early but deciding to just get on tumblr/wattpad/Ao3 for a little bit and then end up finding a fic series that you really like and read until well past your usual bedtime then keeping on because it’s already past your bedtime. Then being mad when you wake up in the morning because you overslept your timer.
