I am still new I'm Lolita fashion and I heard that you're not supposed to alter the clothes you buy from name brands is this true? Like I heard they're looked down upon this act. I don't understand because if I spend 200-500$ and they end up coming slightly off what is the harm is altering? Wasn't Lolita fashion born as a feminism protest? Why are people trying to be so anal about altering? I'm just very confused to be honest.
actually i think most people are okay with altering brand clothes especially if it's to fit you better! Honestly theyre your own clothes at the end of the day and u can do wtv, if it means you're going to wear them more and feel better in them then it doesn't matter what others think !
