Help make frog art!

people are like “awww I can’t get pregnant so you shouldn’t get an abortion” and “awww my whole family is dead so you shouldn’t be no contact with your evil toxic family” get a grip. get several grips. pull yourself together.

it’s so hard to not be like “I’m sorry for your loss. Frankly, I wish it was my loss and not yours. LMFAO.”

I'm really not apologetic with this hard stance, either. I'm very firm on this, too. My art has already been used, twice now by people who did not ask my permission, so they could "enhance it" with Gen AI. I really see nothing good coming from generative AI except poor excuses for laziness and glorified search engines that don't work.

This is an important time to make the distinction between generative and analytical AI. Analytical AI is what AI is supposed to be for. It’s all the boring stuff like analyzing data for patterns. For example, you probably heard about that AI that was designed to tell apart bear claws from croissants for a bakery that is now being used to detect cancer cells with greater accuracy than human doctors. That’s an analytical AI, while everything mentioned in the post above is generative AI. (Which sucks!)

🚨An important message about the cost of your Dropout subscription 🚨

It's staying the same 😊

...so long as you're subscribed by May 7th 📅

If you're not subscribed to Dropout by May 7th, you'll pay $6.99/month or $69.99/year! But if you subscribe BEFORE then, you'll receive legacy pricing at whatever level you were at as of that date. For more info, check out our FAQ!

If you're a monthly subscriber and want to lock in to the current annual price ($59.99/year, effectively $5/month), just make sure you upgrade BEFORE May 7th!

How I didn’t shoot my wife!

In a recent video, I included my take on the William/Wilhelm Tell shot. At the time I mentioned that there were safety precautions behind it. Here is some of the process I went through.

Remember, when you see someone performing a stunt on purpose, there is almost always a lot going on behind the scenes, whether that’s physical failsafes, years of training and learning how to bail/fail safely, or (in many cases) both.

These things rarely eliminate the risk entirely, but by mitigating both the chance of something going wrong, and the severity if it does, it lets us do things that would otherwise be unthinkable. This was mine.

Normal silly videos will resume next week!

The cruelty of racist white men.

Does anyone else remember when Elon was like "if anyone knows how to end world hunger for 6 billion USD, I'll fund it" and UNICEF was like "we're going to spend a month to make a plan to end world hunger for 6 billion USD and Elon is going to fund it" and Elon was like "actually, nah" and then bought Twitter instead?

I think that was one of the worst things I'll ever see in my life.

I still think that should be the thing for which he's the most famous. It should be brought up every time he's mentioned. In any news article, any interview, any history book. "Elon Musk, who was offered a chance to end world hunger and turned it down." Put it on his fucking gravestone.

bye i love this
