- christa’s favorite way to pass the time up in the tower was to sing to herself and subaru if he was present
- karlheinz’s repeated torture, both physically and mentally, of christa caused her to go insane. however, the main drive to keep her locked away was due to the jealousy allotted towards her from cordelia and beatrix, ultimately forcing karlheinz to lock her away from the world to please his other wives.
- christa’s desire to please and appeal to karlheinz became evident in her appearance, as she was always attempting to best cordelia to earn his attraction
- however, during her episodes of depression & breakdowns, christa would do everything in her power to appear unappealing towards karlheinz for fear that he would hurt her again
- christa never liked any of the other children; she always valued subaru more than them and often discouraged him from playing with them. thus, most, if not all, of subaru’s childhood was spent in christa’s company
- when subaru was a child, christa preferred to sleep in the same bed as him to deter karlheinz from assaulting her
- christa also enjoyed the liberal arts, particularly tragedies, poetries, and paintings from the 18th century

- beatrix sakamaki headcanons! -
- after beatrix saw karlheinz move onto christa, it made her quite depressed. consequently, she coped by urging shu to become heir, eventually leaving reiji neglected
- beatrix was overcome with joy when reiji murdered her because in vampire ideology, murder equates to love. to her, it was as though she were forgiven for her mistreatment of reiji and, ultimately, felt loved once again and free to find happiness
- beatrix is a taurus, born may 15th, 1671, and is roughly 341 years old at the time the show takes place (2012)
- beatrix died on october 8th, 1895, at the age of 224
- beatrix often used her superior intelligence against cordelia’s manipulation, using her wits to outsmart the woman
- among karlheinz’s wives, beatrix preferred christa

- reiji sakamaki nighttime headcanons -
- reiji has a nice cup of jasmine tea before he goes to bed; he enjoys sitting on the balcony illuminated by the moonlight, just sipping on his drink
- a hot shower is what reiji likes before he hits the hay; the feeling of relief that comes over him when he feels the warm droplets streaming down his chest is overbearing
- reiji also enjoys reading before bed, particularly the gothic romance genre of poetry to wind him down while the candles on his nightstand burn down into the darkness...
- reiji is also rather enthusiastic about his fangs and teeth, and goes to great lengths to keep them shining and sharp by excessive brushing
- he’s usually the last person to ever sleep in the sakamaki mansion, so it’s his duty to be sure everything is locked up and his brothers are in their beds before he goes to bed himself
- he won’t admit it, but reiji takes pride in his appearance and spends a solid fifteen minutes fiddling with his hair and face in the mirror before winding down
- when reiji sleeps, he sleeps on his back, as stiff as his personality. though, it’s rare, he also enjoys sleeping on his chest
- the most common dream that reiji has is about his mother, along with the everlingering feeling of guilt that comes with her death. he sees himself in the burning field, the autumn sky overhead as she rejoices for her demise...
- reiji is a light sleeper, and oftentimes wakes up in the middle of the night to the small pitter pattering of movement around the mansion, along with tree branches hitting the window. he often mistakes them for worse...

- I’m bubbly, flirty, rather childish around friends, but I’m not really immature. I’m the kind of person who acts flirty around guys, but motherly to emotionally distant ppl. I’m pretty friendly and cheerful! I am a COMPLETE hopeless romantic..I tend to be a follower around extroverts, but when I’m around introverts, I take the lead and find myself bringing reserved pple out of their shells. I’m really in touch with emotions and the emotions of those around me. If something is wrong, I’m gonna find out and solve whatever it is that’s bothering someone.
- I like history, painting, writing music, and cleaning. I love all things traditional gothic or victorian/edwardian and love antiques (tho i’m not a goth, i’m really feminine!) I like hopelessly romantic guys and a good meal ajdksksksk
- I have a dislike for school, mostly because of dyslexia. I don’t rlly care for messy people and boys out to swap between girls (laito) and would rather have a devoted s/o. I also hate arguing so I try to stay as a peacekeeper. I don’t rlly dislike my fellow extroverts but sometimes they can be sort of agitating so errr…
