How can you talk about the Matrix and TDOV and NOT include Switch:
The Wachowskis originally intended for Switch to be male in the Desert of the Real and female inside the Matrix, an exploration of the film's concept of Residual Self Image and the manipulation of your own reality within the simulation. Sadly this exercise in genderfluidity was dropped at the insistence of Warner Brothers. Lilly Wachowski would later explicitly cite Switch as a trans metaphor, highlighting where her and Lana's headspace regarding their own self images were when it came to the idea of The Matrix, but from a "closeted point of view."
This piece is a prime example of why you should preferably plan all the important details before you start working, not in the process
Otherwise, all this fun will stretch for a huge amount of time, most of which you will not understand what tf you are doing at all and beg for mercy
Anyway, I love this piece, and I'm glad it helped me remember how to draw on a tablet board
