Pardon a Bored-at-Work Thought but I have seen people spitball that maybe the means of Samus getting "mysteriously transported" to Viewros in Prime 4 was actually time travel and after seeing the ending of the intro sequence, I am sorta picking up on that theory.

But I'm gonna add to that and say: If this indeed time travel, and the thing the Space Pirates are up to this time is Metroids engineered to fuse with their victims, I can't help wonder if they'll pull a "Metroid Prime was a Lamorn fused with a Metroid all along."
