hey guys, gentle reminder that not everybody experiences alterhumanity/nonhumanity the same way as you. that's something i think everyone needs to keep in mind. i think it's also important that we dont negate or invalidate someone else's experiences simply because they are different from your own.
for example: i am an architect from subnautica, and my own personal experience with being an architect is deeply intertwined with grief and sorrow. although this is the case for me, that may not be the case for some fellow architects.
another example: some puppy/dog therians/kins may experience dysphoria or negative feelings from some other part of being a dog/puppy. but that isn't the case for me. i take joy in just being a puppy as i am currently; despite not physically having ears, a tail, paws, or fur. im just a puppy !!
and i dont talk down about or talk down to those who's experiences differ from my own because as ive said in a previous post, identity is unique to each individual. therefore it should not be policed.
the lesson learned from this is to treat your fellow alterhumans/nonhumans with the same respect you would like to be treated with. identity does not come with a rule book or a cookie cutter definition that's applied to every individual because that's not what identity is.
if your experiences are different from the large majority, that's always okay !! that doesn't mean you're wrong or any less valid. you are you, so be who you are unapologetically.
puppy and gang are here to support everyone :3 you are valid :3
