Voices of Eternity

@voicesofeternity

A blog for sharing random voice lines from Pillars of Eternity I & II, along with transcripts. NOT SPOILER FREE & NOT IN ORDER
WELCOME TO VOICES OF ETERNITY!

This blog aims to collect the various voice lines from the Pillars of Eternity games, including (but not limited to) companion banter, commentaries, and quest dialogue. Basically, it's just me trawling through the game files and attempting to put the audio together into something resembling an archive. I have yet to figure out how to retrieve audio from the PoE1 DLC. Also, I have a bit of an Edér bias.

Got specific audio you want to see? Send in a request!

I am not being lazy about posting, I am letting that last Aloth audio sink in. Absorb the wizard, motherfuckers.

Aloth: I have not been entirely honest about my motives for traveling with you up to this point.

Aloth: When I finished my training in Aedyr, I was introduced to an organization. All I knew was that they were opposed to the unchecked spread of animancy and that they could guarantee me postings far away from the Cythwood, my father, and his erl. At that time, it was enough.

Aloth: In the early years, I thought of them as many things. Hooded men. Prudent teachers. The Leaden Key. Their rules were strict, but their guidance was clear. I sincerely believed they wanted to keep kith from the folly of their own foolish ambitions.

Aloth: I came to the Dyrwood a little over a year ago. My orders were to gather information on animancy in the region.

Aloth: A senior contact met with me every few months to receive my reports and issue new leads. She sent me to Gilded Vale to keep an eye on events surrounding the local lord, but I lost track of her shortly after that.

Aloth: I don't know if she was reassigned, killed, or… sacrificed, the way you saw. By the time you met me, I'd been on my own for a couple of months.

Aloth: I needed some kind of direction. After that scrape with the locals, I was ready to get out of town. But then you mentioned the hooded figures and the machine, and I was sure you were on the trail of the Leaden Key.

Aloth: I knew the Leaden Key was trying to stop animancy, but I didn't realize how far they'd gone. Murder, sabotage, abandoning entire districts to shambling horrors… and now the whole city is up in flames.

Aloth: I'm still not sure about animancy, but I know I've been following the wrong master. Please, accept my apology... and my service. Let me fight with you to stop Thaos.

Tekēhu: Xoti! I say, you stepped on a sacred palm beetle!

Xoti: No! I didn't mean to! Darn it, you think that's bad luck on me now?

Tekēhu: Ekera, the elders say your nose will fall off into the sand.

Xoti: That sounds rea—wait. You wouldn't be pulling my leg now, would you? I'm just sayin', I find it funny that all these sacred beetles seem so drawn to me. That makes nine.

Tekēhu: Ekera, the son of trickster Ngati does not wander far from his mother's ways.

Tekēhu: Still, I should warn you of the tarantula crawling up your back.

Xoti: Nice try, but I ain't fallin' for this one.

Tekēhu: I do not joke about spiders.

Thank you for the work you put into this. You are a true boon for this community. do you have a Ko-fi or something?

as for the request- PoE1

there is a banter between Iselmyr and Kana that is something like

Iselmyr-"bit to slick your britches, scholar lad"

Kana- "i beg your pardon?"

Aloth- "NOTHING. we/I said nothing!"
