when harada was a kid he had something called BACTERIAL MENINGITIS. it is a VERY SERIOUS ILLNESS and it has a lot of lasting side effects if you survive it - harada caught it at daycare when he was about two years old

as a result, he's deaf in one ear! but there are some other lasting effects for him as well:

he has a few cognitive delays. his memory, attention span and processing speed are all a little bit iffy. it took him a little longer to pick up things like reading and speaking.
his balance is kind of weak. he tends to stumble forwards a bit. if only he had some kind of BIG HEAVY OBJECT STRAPPED TO HIS BACK AT ALL TIMES to stabilise him......
he gets tired pretty easily, which he mostly just pushes through because hes a very busy guy. but it definitely leaves him very worn out at the end of most days
a combination of all of these things also makes him fairly clumsy

but hes a bit insecure about most of this so he keeps it quiet
