More dragon egg designs! This one was especially fun - it was for a friend who I very much enjoy the writing of. I got veeeery invested in her lore... and so this one got some more attention than some others HAHA. Was good to brush up on my landscape skills anyways - its been a little while. I learned a lot on these pieces. This dragon is from a special species of mine called TitanWyrms, who affect their environment. The two landscape pieces are from before and after the egg appeared - showing off the rapid growth of unique flora brought about by the wild magic of the egg.

Here’s something I’m working on. It’s far from finished, and even the plan/concept is still somewhat murky in my mind as it continues to grow.

I had a night last week, where I hadn’t drawn or written anything in a while. And I had this burning need in my bones to create, to make something. Anything. And yet… there was nothing that felt like it would do that feeling justice. No drawing, or poem, or song would be profound enough to explain what was swimming through my blood. It felt as if the only thing that might truly convey the depth of all I felt would be to cut open my veins and show the world the stars that lived in my blood. Not in a way or self harm or pain, but because nothing else would do it justice.

So this painting is born of that feeling, of what it means to be utterly consumed by the need to create. Desperation and love and need for something flitting just out of reach and yet trilling to be caught. It swims in our bones, it dances through our mind, it is what I see every time I look up at the stars. Some strange tether that takes me from an incorporeal thing… to being truly real. Concrete, within this universe.

For me, it is a love and feeling so intense that it borders on pain when it is left unfulfilled. And yet I would not trade it for anything.
