"sweet justine and vivacious lucy" are named in reference to justine moritz and lucy westenra. justine moritz, a character in frankenstein, is an innocent young girl hanged for a crime she did not commit, and some adaptations have victor use her body to make the creature a bride. lucy westenra, a character in dracula, is an innocent young girl turned and possessed by dracula whose vampirized body is used to terrorize her former friends. i 100% believe that starkid chose those names for the "young girl who gets killed and turned into a meat puppet" characters on purpose

Hi, long time Xeno X Jewish fan here, you may want to take this down and change what you said about L. L is literally the devil (L’cirufe was inspired by Lucifer according to many sources) and equating that to Jews is a really problematic trope. You’re also equating him being a less than reputable merchant to Judaism which in itself is an incredibly antisemetic dog whistle that’s been around for hundreds of years (even Shakespeare wrote it into his plays). It’s just overall not a good look to make this kind of “joke”.

For my part, L’Arc really struggled to choose. She initially chose Reclaimers because she wanted to work with Elma, but that wasn’t right for her adventurous spirit. Even though switching is frowned upon, she made the jump to Pathfinders within her first week at BLADE and never looked back. Ciel on the other hand knew right away that he was a Curator. Having been a biologist on Earth, it was right up his alley. He specializes in the collection of strange new plant life.
