Yo im sorry if this is unconfy but how do u choose the colors for the tos au like is there an patttern or
I wanted to make an oc but idk the colors dont look right so help if u want
No worries at all!! for 90% of my drawings (except for when i get lazy lol) i choose them myself, aka i just eyeball it from the color wheel and i dont pick colors straight from my references. It gives me a lot more freedom :3
for tos, i keep a limited color palette. In the concept art i made for all of the tos characters here i used p much the same yellows but i let myself make the browns a little redder or a little yellower for some, or more desaturated, and for the purples i had a wider variety of more maroonish shades to almost blue. Not sure how much that helps though LOL
I am working on an official, solid color palette though, which involves redesigning all of the tos toons slightly so they all fit within it ,, i will post it once im finished ofc! >:]
Dont worry about being "right" with the colors cause its more fun to give yourself the freedom. basically my only rules for myself when designing them was try to keep everything as close to yellow, purple, white, and brown as i possibly can lol
