alright what are your strange hill high neurodivergent headcanons because i dont see very many people being neurotypical in that school

* in all honesty i think it'd be easier to list who's neurotypical at this school but i do have a couple headcanons that im personally fond of

▪ gazza has adhd and is dyslexic. they are the quiet, withdrawn loner kid who is more content doodling than making friends which speaks for itself alongside their graffiti showing they struggle with spelling. i see them being surprisingly very hyperactive and talkative, just in their own way. considering they're shown to be under and overreactive, hyperfocused and distracted to such an extent they lose track of their surroundings in canon? mitchell you're not the only one-

▪ bishop has anxiety and is also autistic. i've always seen him as a guy who's overcompensating and putting on this big tough guy persona. his goal is to make himself as big and flashy as possible in the hopes he won't be sniffed out as an easy target because deep down he's way more afraid of you... and most social situations honestly

▪ tyson is autistic. based on how he's shown to treat his friends i get the impression he doesn't mean to be malicious sometimes? it's hard for your roughhousing to come across as playful when you aren't aware of your own strength, harder for your teasing to be gentle when you've crossed social lines you didn't know existed. i think he'd be hurt knowing he's disliked when he thought he just made new friends-

Maybe I’m just too sensitive to people using Palestinian culture for their own means (or just straight up stealing it) but I do get kinda annoyed when I see artists doing “biblically accurate” depictions of figures from Christianity and clearly using modern Palestinian clothing for it and not mentioning it anywhere. For example a thobe malak isn’t “bible clothing” and not mentioning your references anywhere contributes to the erasure of Palestinian culture. One of the aims of Zionist propaganda is the complete removal of Palestinians from both Palestine and our own cultural and historical narrative. Like sure man, you can use Palestinian clothing for your artwork, but at least say what you are referencing. Stop cutting Palestinians out of the picture because you don’t want to add another sentence to the description

Probably a good time to mention that Palestinian Christian artists deserve to be recognized too. These are some works by Sliman Mansour, who was born to a Catholic Palestinian family, and is arguably one of the most famous Palestinian artists of all time
