Today I forgot that many people consciously choose to remain apolitical and bemoan moments when others initiate critical conversations about current events. I wonder if this is because they have not yet discovered intersectionality.

“Can we not bring politics into this?”

...is a phrase I have grown to despise. I despise it because I instead hear, “please, just let me ignore this, I wish to remain unaffected.” Meanwhile, the most powerful people in the world own our channels of communication, are hitting the full hitler, and threatening the safety of my friends and family.

I do and can understand the need to NOT think about something, and to have a respite from the daily horrors and needing safe spaces to relax. Which is precisely why I believe it is important in every space, in order to KEEP IT SAFE, to say and to establish, FASCIST BAD.

If people don’t say it, if people don’t step up and get a little political for a little bit, then it gives space for fascists to hide and fascism to grow.

So, I’ll say it again, and again, and again, until I die. N*zi punks, fuck off. You can’t hide here.
