I saw @flowersforthemachines do this and it looks like fun so I picked my problematic bitches. A lot of my Rooks are not here because they "know" how to behave;

Ivy - Spite and he are in love. Lucanis strongly disagrees.
Karma - She falls madly in love with Davrin, so much so that after he dies and she fulfills her "contract" with the gods, she tries to commit suicide (toxic af). Illario stops her. She falls in love with Illario (this may or may not be a response to trauma). He falls in love with her too. The bitch kills herself at the end anyway.
Aren - In a polycule relationship with Lucanis, Spite and Illario (THIS IS THE EASIEST TO CHOOSE BUT PLEASE CONTEMPLATE THE OTHERS FOR A MOMENT, DON'T GET CARRIED AWAY BY THE INCEST PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE). He is a circus artist, a thief, an alcoholic drug addict y un naco y estúpido in general.
Oliver - He's barely 20 and he is with Emmrich (hello 30-40 years age difference?), also totally supports him to become a lich. He also flirted with all the women in the Veilguard while being gay (they didn't know) (he thought it was funny af).
Sienna - Shadow Dragon who fell in love with Illario and therefore decided that his city (where his parents live by the way) would be fine without him in a dragon attack. He ends up so traumatized by the end of the game's events that he decides to trick Illario into having a baby so he'll never leave him... It works lol.

Like the companions, Thyneron was also "saved" by infection with an illithid tadpole. However, instead of a master or explosive orb, he was rescued from a life of mediocrity and depressive stagnation. Thyneron is a dreamer, but has always been much too afraid to act--at least until he was forced to. Growth is growth, right?
Rook: You always want to meet me in places out of sight. You're not ashamed to be with me, are you?
Illario: I don't know where you could get such a foolish idea. I wouldn't be here if I was.
Rook: Protecting my image then? The hero of the veil meeting up with the rogue who has been shunned?
Illario: Telling fairytales now are we? Tongues do tend to wag, and it would be a shame if people looked down on you as well.
Rook: I couldn't care less, only what you think of me matters.

Caroline Hawke - in a polycule with every single romanceable companion (except Sebastian). Fenris is the only rivalmance out of the four, but they also had a thing where they exchanged their greatswords as sort of a wedding proposition. Frequently declares that Merrill is her favourite, though the jury is still out. Breaks up with Anders post-canon before realising she does actually love him enough to forgive Everything (then dies anyway).
Bellanaris Lavellan - in a disaster polycule with Solas and Sera. Actually loves both of them strongly, but the three of them have maybe 1 good day per week as a throuple. Breaks up with Sera post-Mythal of her own volition (cultural disagreements), gets broken up with Solas (as per canon), later vows to stop him no matter what in Trespasser. Gets together with Sera in between DAI and DAVG. Still haven't decided if she should ditch everything (and Sera) to reunite with Solas, or ditch Solas and the Fade to stay with Sera.
Ghilasara Thorne - has a relationship with Lucanis that leads to 10 divorces before she ultimately dies by his hand. Has a Thing for Davrin that she never explicitly acts upon before he dies and then spends the rest of her life pondering what-ifs. Has a Thing with Bellara that's technically sort of platonic, but they are also so very close the only meaningful distinction in them announcing they are in a relationship would be that they could kiss each other openly.
For any OC of your choice: would they dish out the money for an expensive set of good quality kitchen knives (for cooking. not stabbing people) or just cut things with whatever?
This qunari right here cuts EVERYTHING with his two hands (and teeth, depending). He doesn't have a fucking clue that kitchen knives even exist. Lucanis saw him once, and Aren got himself permanently banned from The Lighthouse's kitchen.

i was thinking about npc murat for a while actually. (i wanted him to romance lucanis in my other rook's playthrough. x)) so i will talk a little about this version and much more about his companion version. enjoy! (everything's under the cut. there's even pictures!!)

I'm going to talk about Lucavrin because I love them and miss them so much! But one of my headcanons is that they're both nocturnal, at least during the events of the game—Davrin because of the horrible nightmares he must be having due to the TWO Blights happening, and Lucanis because he doesn’t trust Spite (yet). So sometimes they meet in the dining room, Davrin working on his wooden carvings while Assan sleeps at his feet, and Lucanis reading something while (of course) drinking coffee. They keep each other company—at first reluctantly, because of their issues with each other—but later, it becomes like a ritual, a habit, meeting each other in the middle of the night. After Veilguard, they struggle a lot to let it go, but it's for their own good! They need to sleep better!
Honestly, I don’t think anything in particular, haha. I’m pretty new to Tumblr, so I might be completely missing the importance of mutuals, but I usually follow people because I’m interested in their work. Not sure if that’s a good answer, sorry;,
I’d say: 1) Getting accepted as the graphic design lead for the magazine in my internship AND managing to get my friends accepted as my assistants too (ALWAYS FORCE YOUR WAY THROUGH, LOL—never let anyone tell you you can’t do EVERYTHING with your friends!!!).
2) Getting back into writing and the unexpected support my works have gotten—every comment and kudo fills me with unexplainable happiness.
3) Illario Dellamorte, HAHAHA. Just playing Veilguard and joining the Dragon Age fandom in general has been an amazing experience so far. I love waking up to check Tumblr, read fics, and actually push past my shyness to interact with the fandom.

So yeah, this is peak embarrassing cringe material, but whatever—I’ve been a book gremlin since day one. Never had friends (shocking, I know), so instead of, like, socializing like a normal kid, I was that weirdo buried in library shelves like some feral little goblin. Thanks, Mom, for teaching me to read at age negative three—really set me up for a normal childhood.
Then, at the ripe old age of nine, my autistic little brain went: "WRITE." And ohhh boy, did I write. Superheroes? Hyperfixation engaged. My "magnum opuses" (read: absolute garbage) were handwritten like some 19th-century Dickens wannabe until I got my first goddamn phone and discovered WATTPAD. LMAO. THE GATES OF HELL OPENED.
Cue age 11: Percy Jackson entered my life and BAM—MEGA HYPERFIXATION ACTIVATED. Started devouring fanfics like my life depended on it, then went "fuck it, I can do this too" and dove headfirst into writing Percico (Percy/Nico, because obviously). Somehow, people liked it?? So I rolled with it, infiltrating writer groups full of adults while my prepubescent ass stayed stealth mode. No, I wasn’t good, but I could fake being a functional human well enough to not get yeeted out.
BEST TIME OF MY LIFE—except for the casual horror of "why the FUCK was I, a 12-year-old, trauma-bonding with suicidal 20-somethings in DMs???" 💀💀💀 ANYWAY, I churned out over 200 PJ/HOO fics like a deranged fanfic factory before I finally nuked my Wattpad account in a fit of "I must erase my sins."

Honestly, a ton of things right now—I barely have any free time. Between university, where I have some pretty big final projects plus my thesis, and my professional internship at the magazine-, though I always try to find a moment to write at either of them lol. It’s also because sometimes I’d rather draw instead of write when I do have free time, or play Veilguard for the eleventh time!
Music is my biggest inspiration. So much so that one of my best friends says it’s bad for me HAHAHA. I can’t listen to a song without feeling inspired! It’s my gift, and my curse. No wonder my playlists stretch for three freaking days. I have a problem.
I absolutely love all of @lucenorthstar 's work—I adore their style and their comics! It always makes me happy to find an artist who creates risqué art with trans characters because it’s so hard to come by sometimes. And the way they draw Lucanis makes me go FERAL and—well, I won’t get vulgar, but you get the idea!
