i guess this is a thing now! hi, this is a blog about whump themed polls, anything whump or whump community related and clicking buttons

submissions are welcome and if i see whump related polls i might also reblog them (disclaimer that i reserve the right to not post submissions if i dont like them, might post submissions with terms or concepts im not very familiar with etc etc just a silly fun sideblog)

no idea if this is gonna stick or work out but might as well give it a try cause why not!

(definition for those who want/need it: whump is a fandom term describing fictional characters getting hurt in any way, physical or emotional, light or intense. it can include comfort but doesnt have to, it can be a person hurting the character (e.g torture, typical action movie fights) or an environmental scene (e.g storms, lost at sea) or also illness, trauma, gore, etc. there's an overlap with hurt/comfort and angst which are more well known terms. people use it for fanfiction, original fiction with ocs, (fan)art, gifs and video clips of tv/movie scenes, etc.

something ive been a bit curious about as someone who is coming to terms with the possibility of being both physically and mentally disabled- i find that a lot of the whump content i create stems from my own experiences with pain and disability and wanted to see how other people feel about the subject

if you are disabled, feel free to discuss in the notes how/if your disability influences how you interact with whump as a genre in general
