I thought the 12-panel comic was ambitious, but hell this damn light and shading drove me crazy more times I want to admit! Kicking your feet? Giggling? Can't stop smiling? And yes, crying? Feeling anything, everything. That's our goal. That means we did The Job.

Hi Anon! Yeah, I just reopened it after posting the big squid salad 💙 I really hope you are doing great, Anon and thanks for asking! I am alright, got a lot on my mind these days, March has been trying (I suspect I am projecting on the fic a lil too much). But I can't really complain!

About that massive Squid Pile: I was pleasantly surprised by people sending me all those Kallamars, and I didn't want to disappoint anyone! It feels great to have managed it! It's a little far from the original painting, but heck, Dr. Nicolaes Tulp didn't have that many students so I was happy to change it to make sure everyone would fit in. Forgive me if I use your ask to show a little of the process, I hope you are interested!

Finished Piece

I have no clue how many hours it was honestly... The most challenging part was to find a suitable spot for each, good enough to show who was who without a "where's wally?" situation and maintaining the classroom vibe as well. Then, despite the uniform being the same for everyone, I tried to give them a little feature that was included in their reference.

THE BEST WORST PART? This is me while doing shades on the multiply layer over all those dark outfits.

The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Kallamar

GUYS I DID IT OMG!

Thank to everyone who sent me their Kallamar to butcher them mercilessly into this painting. It has been AMAZING to discover how different one character could be interpreted and how each of you made them your very own!

I would have liked to give everyone good space, but I found that fitting 22 of them in, including mine, was a challenge!🤣💙 Maybe I bit more than I could chew.

I really hope I did justice to your Kallamar. I tried to be as accurate as I could, and the colour was picked straight from the reference! (Some were B&W, so I hope I gave them a decent one)

Oh well, I'm not a spider expert, but I was wondering about all of this some time ago (adding to the fact that I have a pet spider). So. Female spiders don't always eat male ones, it mostly depends on their mood(these fellas have a HUGE range of personalities), and hostility. Sounds not too bad, but these two criteria also make a female spider eat a male BEFORE mating, either because they thought they were weak, or... Just because, for fun? BUT. It's all from pure instincts, it's hard for spiders to survive, and they don't mate for life, they're like... One-night stand fellas, but it's not like they can do anything different. A lot of spiders have bad eyesight, they can't smell and their hearing depends purely on surface vibrations, so they just CAN'T remember their mate. If speaking about the CoTL universe, I headcanon that all creatures still have something reminiscent of 'instincts', but they can suppress them, soo... Back about Shamura. Maybe, if they're really hungry after sex (if they were a receiving end), they might have thought about eating their partner... But will they do it or not... Hehehee

Ok that's really cool spider facts I had no idea of. So now we have spider lore, spider sex lore and Shamura spider sex lore. So I am reaching the conclusion that the best course of action for an eventual mate would be to invite them for dinner before anything else!

While I was making Kallamar's costume, I also wanted to make some for her husbands. So here's an idea for Haborym and Beelzebub (I won't color them because it's late and I have to get up early tomorrow).

I was inspired by @whysoblue2 designs. I love her art and the way she draws Kallamar and her husband. They're so...! HKSJDHDDJ THEY MAKE ME WANT TO HUG AND SQUEEZE THEM! AAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Was inspired by @therekinperson and wanted to do my own Collab challenge!

Feel free to draw any of your own COTL character/s taking a selfie with Gabriel! It can either be in the same pose as the red sketch or you can draw your own pose over it!

Gabriel is 5’8ft, so I left some space above above if your character/s are taller than that
