a thought: jiang cheng = caranthir with different brother problems

yesss I do agree especially in the context of which Feanorian is Jiang Cheng (clear and obvious answer) BUT I think there are some clear distinctions as well- I don't think Caranthir gets as attached as Jiang Cheng to people identified by Angry Parent as outsiders and interlopers, and I think Jiang Cheng would be initially way less into the oath, like he would hear the plan and immediately develop a stomach ache, but he'd go along with it and then the second one little brother got barbecued he'd instantly be resigned to murdering every single person in Beleriand to fulfill it.

now that I've also read The Orb of Cairado has anyone checked on Katherine Addison? I get why there are so many executions in the murder mystery series and it's not entirely out of place in the game of fairy thrones ft the power of friendship (which I love) but why. why does the indiana jonesy novella also feature lovers torn apart by murder and specifically gay lovers having an illicit affair marred by one of them committing murder and the other one getting him caught and essentially betraying him to his own death?

having seen the full context of the quote I also hope Dr. Morley gets tetanus of the balls.

i don't mean to be rude but i have absolutely no respect for Katherine Addison's attempts at avoiding a love triangle. why are we going with "oh yea this man is straight and has very deep friendships with other men he gets unusually intense about. but he doesn't fall in love with the women he's sleeping and they know not to expect that from him. no word on whether he forms deep and intense friendships with them also but it kind of sounds like no." it would have been so easy to simply do anything else and not imply this perfectly nice character is deeply weird about women.

are we suggesting that you simply don't form intense and loving friendships with your fuck buddies who happen to all be women.

i have little to say about severance bcs i'm still processing from last night but i will say that i felt manipulated by that gwendolyn christie deployment and i loved every second of it. set up, pay off, nothing fancy just a competent set up that lets everyone bring their a game and enjoy a cute little goat named emile. also she killed it in that braid crown.
