Why not. This is the official tradition now.

It's not like the stars are going anywhere after all.#And when he's in yiling...well he has far to much to do inside his cave or on night hunts to look up at the boring dots.#He's a moon guy - but only so far as 'is the moon phase bright enough to read under tonight? is is dark enough to sneak around?'#It's probably only after the end of untangling the web of secrets and murders in his second life -#-that he realizes the beauty in just...taking a moment and taking in the sky with someone by your side.#Luckily for him the high altitude and cold air of a certain cloud recess makes for excellent start gazing conditions.#Wen Qing would be in the know on what the constellations are. Almost entirely because Wen Ning kept asking her.#As an older sibling you can A) Lie or B) Delve deep into research to claim your throne of 'the knower'.#I have knowledge about many things because I craved being 'the knower' as a youth. Now I don't know anything ever.

I solved the audio problem (CPS sometimes stops the audio from working; its a matter of just restarting the program)#I also re-storyboarded a few parts of the project. His passion for theatrics and storytelling is something to behold.#He's one of my favourite characters in severance. Antagonist perhaps but he's also so much more human than he first appears.#There is a guy underneath the professional mask who has a creative passion that his 9-5 turned 24/7 crushed!#Get him out of the (corporate) basement and put him into the (game room) basement!#That aside; this was supposed to be a little doodle to take a break from my animation project. No doubt he's written more technically impressive songs#but we only know him for the dramatic ballad he wrote when he was 17.#Actually I think he still holds it a little more dear to his heart than Thom Yorke does Creep.#I change my mind. Wangxian is his Never Going To Give You Up. A popular song that overshadows the rest of his work.#But only to us. In universe he *never* played that song to anyone else.#Which is exactly why I call it his teen heartbreak song. If wangxian had lyrics they would look like a teen emo's diary poetry.#That shit would be so embarrassing he *would* need 15 years between writing it and reading it out loud again.

It's something that I've been thinking about While the answer has been strong 'maybe', there *is* a future where there will be some kind of physical version of my art - be it in stickers, a zine, prints, charms, or otherwise.
Personally, if PD-MDZS the comic was to be released physically, I would want to throw in some exclusive bonus comics/goodies to go with it! Please stay tuned!

You cannot be a perfectionist'.#Right now - posting these slightly upgraded frames is really helping me stay motivated through the learning grind.#But progress is happening! I'm so excited to show it off when it's done!#Someone with a very discerning eye might be able to figure out what I'm doing with just this one frame. I will take the risk.#That aside; I often think about how the nature of cultivators in MDZS's world also entailed knowing about other art forms.#Meaning that Wen Qing and Wen Ning likely were good musicians and artists.#We know WWX is also good in art and music so...really...what was stopping them from forming a band?#Allow me to pitch this AU: Yiling Opera company AU. WWX and the Wen remnants form a performing trope and tour towns and cities.#Not only do they find a way to keep on the move (no home...only the road and the people around you).#But you also get to be in costume - which is a socially appropriate way to always be in disguise.#Yiling Laozu would thus be a character and/or WWX's stage name.#Would he be good at keeping it a secret? Hard to say with WWX! I think it would be a poorly-kept secret at best.#He likes to brag and show off a bit too much. This many would be either the worst or best spy.#Consider the drama of JC losing his mind over his ex-brother becoming a clown. Imagine JC Getting his ass kicked by said clown.#Imagine the delectable secret identity drama potential of Lan Wangji stumbling upon the trope's performances.#We did not get nearly enough of the secret identiy drama in MDZS canon. I need more of it.#I need that man conflicted with his feelings for the same person. I need them playing mind games with each other at all times.

I feel like a toddler being the wheel of a semi-truck.#But I've learned that the most important thing about art is to just dive in and start. I've learned a lot from my failures!#There is probably a more efficient way to do all of this. I'm using CPS and as of 20 min ago I just found out that animation folders-#-and regular folders are *different*. So I'm hopeful the rest of this animation goes well!#Shout out to Jiang Yanli for getting that man pregnant. MXTX told me herself that he carried Jin Ling to term with no complications.#How? How you ask? Well. I imagine it was a sea-horse situation. He has a pouch where he keeps his young.#He went from calling her names and trying to break off the wedding to having pregnancy cravings. Character growth.

Even if it is only temporary - it's kind.#The truth about siblings is that you learn be able to let the slights and fights roll off your back.#This is the person who pisses you off more than anything in the world - *and* the only person you really understands you.#Causally talking about how long it took for the wounds you inflicted on each other to heal? That's brotherhood.#I've said if before but I will never stop saying it: This fight between them was never supposed to last.#You can't really get back the same level of closeness what someone breaks your trust. But you can still build something.#This moment of cracking jokes over a shared bowl of soup is rain on scorched earth. One day something might grow again.#Not today. Maybe not for a long time. But the roots are still there.#Jiang Yanli gets to have her moment of familial joy as well! She gets to be in her wedding dress and be with what remains of thier family.#And can we just have a moment to cheer for a canonical interaction between Wen Ning and JYL?#It feels like watching a butterfly land on a baby deer's nose. She gives him soup...he's part of the family too...

Ripped him to shreds and sewed him back together.#I think JYL should have a moment of not being the perfect society women and daughter.#She has been stuck in this role for her whole life! But dear god do I love to see her make small defiances.#Her role is to be a good daughter/sister. Then a good wife and good mother. But she did that on *her* terms!#She never took the 'easy' way out. Her reserved nature concealed someone who chose to be covert in doing what she felt was right.#I love you JYL and your kindness and generosity despite her status. I love you for pursuing your first love with tenacity.#I love you for sneaking out and showing off your wedding dress to the brother who wishes he could be there to see it.#Perhaps I think she deserves a few moments of being a true older sibling and inflicting psychic damage.#The sibling reaction shot in the final panel is very much inspired by my own horrors of learning too much about my siblings.#It's not about being a prude or sex negative. It's 100% about “I don't want to know!!! Untell me that shit right now!!!”
I just want you to know that I was rereading the PDMDZS comics yet again, and I finally caved and watched Legally Blonde because you're like a puppeteer that draws things and I'm like "well, guess I have to see it now." Now, after watching Legally Blonde, I must tell you that Elle Woods is love, Elle Woods is life, Elle Woods is everything to me. Elle Woods would have been able to save Wei Wuxian from the Jins all while looking sparkly and fantastic as she does it. (Obviously with her hype girlies in the background)

I have a pay-off to build up so I must continue in theme.#Next comic is one I have been so excited to draw. I'm so excited to share!#Turning the spotlight back to JC for a moment here: It struck me while drawing this that we don't actually have confirmation-#-that this is the same town LWJ met WWX in. In fact it actually makes more sense if they aren't going to the same town each time.#After all - we clearly see that despite the high number of rumours - no one recognizes him *or* Wen Ning.#This does bring the implication that JC has been wandering around villages and towns trying to bump into his estranged brother.#Just lurking around shop stalls with a menacing aura. Hoping his hubris detector suddenly spikes high and he finds WWX.#He brings a threatening aura to the farmers market that is actively scaring off the customers and curdling the milk.#How long was he trying? I previously pointed out that LWJ was probably trying for a few days...but how long was JC trying?#Neither him or Jiang Yanli knew LWJ told him about the wedding...so it stands to reason they might have be able to find him sooner.#It was all just a matter of poor timing...Jiang Cheng got cucked again by LWJ and he didn't even realize it.
