How long have you been writing for, and do you have a type of writing process? Personally, I've only been writing for less than a year, but I'm always amazed by how you make your writing seem so natural and am wondering how you do it??

I’ve been writing fanfiction for this fandom since January 1st 2024 (i remember posting the first fic like late at night and ao3 marked it as the second i think aakkdkd) but I had an LU fic PLANNED since October 2023. I think i’ve been like, Writing writing since I physically could. I remember writing my own short stories on the kind of paper you buy kids to practice their handwriting on, with the big ass lines and shit because i was actively learning how to write the english alphabet and my brain was like “actually we’re gonna use this new knowledge to be a menace”. I’ve always been interested in creating my own stories and I remember being like 8 and pissed at JKR and rewriting part of the third harry potter book because i thought something about it was fucking stupid (8 yo jesse was years ahead of everyone on the JKR hate. for the wrong reasons, but still alskdkdk) and then i got into fanfiction, and i wrote for a lot of other fandoms on FF.NET and some on ao3 before i did LU stuff

as for my current writing process:

- For quick ideas, i use my phone. I write in incomplete sentences and a lot of time i just write dialogue chunks meant for me to fill in later when i have time. A lot of my docs look like 20 or so lines in a row of just this:

- I tend to bounce around a LOT- I’ll write out a basic outline at the top of the page (not complete sentences, i type it out like im explaining an idea to a friend over text) and then i follow that, and I write whatever part is vibing with my brain at the moment

- I listen to music AND ‘watch’ youtube while I write (rn its music and the tv) because it makes it harder for my thoughts to get distracted and i can ONLY focus on what i’m actively writing

- I do little writing exercises where I take an idea and run with it until my brain calls it quits and then if it’s decent ill post it, otherwise i just save it to add on to later. It helps because it feels so low pressure to me, because if i stress myself out about writing i cant do it

also I think about writing and character movement like i’m directing a play. i will sometimes stand up and literally block something out to make sure the movement works well (usually fighting moves and shit, and also the opportunity to stand up and swing a pool noodle is a good physical activity break). and every single dialogue line i say out loud or very deliberately in my head, ALWAYS in the character’s accent because it helps develop a ‘voice’ for them (and it helps me know how to write Wind and Twi specifically with how they speak because then i know what parts of the word are stressed and whats Gone) and it makes it more consistent. it helps the dialogue feel more natural, to me at least, because i real human being has said/aggressively thought those words and it didn’t sound like a robot

How do you think the chain would react to finding out more about Sidney and Wars? Am absolutely obsessed with the last fic you wrote about them! Hope you're doing well!

I will not say much for Time because there is an entire fic in the works about this but what I WILL say is that Time’s final opinion is that he’s happy Warriors is happy. That’s all that matters to him. And also Sidney has a lot of respect for him and he doesn’t understand that but he’s willing to roll with it. They could be friends if given the chance

Twi will tease War to death once he discovers this whole mess, it’s inevitable. And he will be very delighted to discover that Warriors either completely ignores his taunts or goes bright red and struggles to argue back, because thats SO uncharacteristic for him and he finds it hilarious (very little brothery “OOOOH you got a BOYFRIEND” level teasing). Twi and Sidney would get along very well if they had an actual chance to hang out so he’ll definitely approve of him. 60% likelihood he pulls Sidney aside and tells him he’ll kill him if he makes War upset

Sky would be absolutely excited to discover the whole situationship issue War has going on, and in the process of demanding to know everything about Sidney he’d probably accidentally help War work through the last of his issues. 90% chance he pulls Sidney aside and tells him he’ll kill him, but if that happened itd be in a very subtle “hey i killed the demon king, your incredibly mortal ass would die in seconds by my blade teehee” very cutesy kinda way

Hyrule would be shocked because he absolutely believed Warriors when he lied to get Wind off his back and said that Sidney was not only a friend from work but also a woman. I think it’d take him a second to realize there’s only one Sidney and he’d be much more confused as to why Warriors lied than curious to know more about the situation because he does not understand the whole concept of a situationship. Like he doesn’t quite get romantic feelings since he doesn’t feel that attraction (he’s aroace. he understands platonic relationships just fine but he’s applied the same rule of those to romantic relationships and doesn’t get why this whole thing is such an issue for War) so he’s more like “War you fucking idiot what are you doing”

Legend would 1000% think he’s lying about the whole thing if he found out about the situationship. War?? Have someone who’s willing to tolerate him??? He’d think that’s bullshit. And then he’d observe for all of five minutes and realize it is NOT a lie and then he tease Warriors to DEATH. If he and Twi ganged up on War it’d be over for him. Legend would certainly have his negative feelings towards Sidney, since he was a soldier and he’s a nobleman as well, but he’ll play nice and only antagonize him a little bit (and itd piss him off that Sidney won’t respond to the bait). 100% likely to tell Sidney he’ll slit his throat in his sleep if he “makes pretty boy cry”, and he’d be annoyed that Sidney would just hold his hand out for him to shake and go “And I’ll hold you to it”

Wild would find ways to subtly test him but not like a sane normal person, not like the average protective friend, no no Wild would try to gage how chaos prone Sidney is by setting up opportunities for disaster. And he’d be devastated that Sidney didn’t take the bait once and that’d be enough for him to declare him boring, even after he saw Sidney and War stage an entire argument in front of the queen just to get a few minutes alone. He’d definitely be shocked to realize THAT was Sidney and also that War genuinely seems to like him, because while he does have War (incorrectly) pegged as a boring city boy, he didn’t expect him to be so boring as to like a boring city boy

Four saw the way Sidney carried a blade with reverence one singular time and immediately his respect was won. He’s glad War found someone who genuinely seems to love him so much, but at the same time he’d be so annoyed with War for being an utter moron about the whole thing

Wind would loose his MIND to discover the truth. He’s got questions, he’s nosy, he needs to know more and he needs to know more immediately. Its a damn good thing Sidney is used to passionate rapid fire ranting from Warriors about his special interests because otherwise there is literally no way he’d have a CHANCE at understanding Wind (not that he can understand much from Warriors when he REALLY gets going, but he’s at least gotten good at connecting dots and looking engaged, bless him. and he asks good clarifying questions). Wind would like him a lot, Wind would be a menace about the whole situation, and he’d only stop teasing once War exhibited GENUINE distress
