There is something so utterly romantic about the potential between Elain and Lucien—more than the golden threaded mating bond coiled between their souls—and where their story is headed. Elain wants to be seen and I believe that Lucien does that and so much more. I believe that Elain may hear Lucien’s heart, but Lucien can see her heart plain as day.
(A must scene for their book is Lucien showing off his magic to his lady!)

Every time I see someone bring up how Feyre admired the visual contrast between Elain and Azriel (i.e "Death and the Lovely Fawn") all I can think about is the fact that she once admired the similar contrast between herself and Tarquin before ultimately realizing that she can't be with someone who doesn't contain the same darkness as her. She realizes that she needs someone who is not her contrast, but her match. Someone whose soul is made of the same stuff.
Feyre has also made it known that she does not know her sisters as well as she thinks she does. Notice how, once she became closer to Elain and began understanding her better as a sister and person, that she started encouraging Elain and Lucien more.

This Virginia Wolf quote reminds me so much of Elain Archeron. The girl who asked for sunshine during her darkest moments, after her deepest trauma. She’s now channeled that trauma into bringing more gardens to her world.
As she said, “The world needs more gardens,” and Elain deserves for her spring to come. I’m so excited to watch her finally get her happily ever after filled with sunshine and bloom.
