i do think being mad nintendo mainline titles got more expensive is kind of treatlerite. honestly. it's a luxury good thats been the same price for like 25 years. games were $60 for the n64 in 1999. if prices had been raised to keep up with inflation they would be like $115 today. the reason that you're mad is bc you want it & you want it to be cheap & if it's less cheap than it was before (even if the new price is still undervalued compared to what goes into making the games), that can't be because of how money works, it must be that you're being Personally Wronged by The Man.
if you can't afford an $80 game then don't buy it. we (usamericans) are literally entering a recession, that's the reality. a ton of people probably can't afford that kind of luxury good without saving for awhile or even at all. that goes for me as well; i live paycheck to paycheck too. i'll have to think more about what is worth spending money on. that doesn't mean the price is wrong, it means our economy is in the shit & wealth inequality is causing a truly unthinkable number of people in the wealthiest country ever to scrape & scrounge to have enough money for rent & groceries & medicine etc etc.
nintendo is not wronging you by raising their game prices after 25+ years. your landlord is wronging you by taking more than half your paycheck for rent, & if that weren't the case you'd be able to afford to spend an extra $20-30 on nintendo games much more easily. hope this helps
