whump or something idk

@wisteria-whump

she/her / whump and general writing prompts

i love when a stoic rescued whumpee becomes more open because of a fever, drunkenness, etc and their friends/caretakers are freaked out by how wrong it feels to see them so carefree and open about their past.

like idk i just love the idea of the caretakers realizing that whumpee isn't acting like their usual self and if they let them share now they're going to regret it later so they try their best to just distract them or get them to bed. and the caretakers are curious as hell about whumpee's past but they just know it wouldn't be right to find out like this.

piercing whump

tw: mentions of injury, infection, kidnapping, captivity

  • whumper gives whumpee piercings as a show of ownership
  • whumper gives whumpee piercings as a way to exercise control
  • whumper ripping whumpees piercing(s) out
  • whumpee is kidnapped shortly after getting a piercing, and the conditions theyre kept in lead to it getting infected
  • whumpee has a lot of ear piercings and their hair gets matted and tangled into all of the piercings
  • whumpee has lots of piercings and whumper has some pretty strong magnets,,,, surely this cannot go wrong in any way

been thinking of a caretaker who doesn't like whumpee at first but is still there when whumpee needs someone

the two can't get along when left alone together, but if whumpee suddenly collapses with injury/fever, caretaker will drop everything to be there

whumpee genuinely drives caretaker nuts sometimes, but caretaker will still be there to comfort them when they wake up gasping and crying from nightmares. caretaker doesn't pry, they just do whatever they need to do to help whumpee feel safe.

caretaker enjoys going out with their friends, but if whumpee is home alone and they need something, caretaker will pick up the phone right away.

and i can imagine whumpee asking caretaker why they do these things, and caretaker is just like. "just because we don't get along doesn't mean you deserve to go through all of this alone."

i especially like this for situations where a whumpee has multiple caretakers.

“writing fanfics is something I do in my free time for fun. I will not treat it like a job and will instead treat it like a hobby because that’s what it is.”

also how it feels being a fanfic writer:

Lately craving the team of heroes w/ Whumpee as the sort of underdog or seen as the one who doesn’t do much/always messes things up. And they’re a goofball so the team cracking jokes at their expense shouldn’t be a big deal, right?

They constantly berate Whumpee and give them extra tasks (without coordinating) bc “it’s not like you were doing anything.” Whumpee must just be goofing off all the time with how many mistakes they have in training and on the field.

In actuality Whumpee feels insignificant and works the hardest out of any of them. they have to, they’re the weakest link. If they don’t, the team will realize how much of a burden they are.

Whumpee overworks themself trying to complete everything and makes even more mistakes as a result leading to more jeers and condescension. Bonus points if Whumpee thinks the team is aware of how hard they’re trying - is nothing ever going to be enough? Are they really just that useless??

And ofc it all culminates in Whumpee hiding injury and/or illness because they have to be better, they have to work harder, otherwise they’re a burden. The team doesn’t even notice, just keeps yelling at them and making fun of them bc wow, Whumpee really is useless, aren’t they? /hj

I just love the way everything falls apart when whumpee finally collapses and the team realizes just how awful they’ve been. 😈

doctor caretaker prompts

  • caretaker struggles to efficiently do their job when handling whumpee's medical emergencies because of how worried they are about them
  • caretaker struggles to figure out what's wrong with whumpee
  • caretaker watches as whumpee's health deteriorates and it kills them that there's not a lot they can do about it
  • caretaker spends so much time trying to help whumpee through recovery only for whumpee to die (whether it's preventable or not is a fun choice)
  • caretaker gets sick and they have to push through the feverish haze to guide whumpee through what to do to help them
  • whumpee chooses to donate an organ to one of caretaker's other patients
  • whumpee dies and ends up being a match to donate organs to one of caretaker's struggling patients
  • whumpee needs an organ transplant but is put low on the transplant list
