help ahmed buy new clothes for his family

hello everyone! last week, we completed a campaign to help ahmed provide his local refugee camp with solar panels. thank you so much to everyone who contributed - it meant a lot to us to have this completed before the end of ramadan.

we are now raising money for three of the children ahmed and shaima both look after in their families: ahmed's daughter, rateel, moataz, and jihad (shimaa's nephews.) we have worked with ahmed for around 7ish months now, and he's done a lot to implement the initiatives we raise money for. he works in a team of 7 people that spend most of their time caring for their community. ahmed has not seen his daughter in months as he is so busy with the refugee camp.

in total, we hope to raise $350 to send to ahmed to buy these kids new clothes for eid. if you can contribute, it would mean a lot! ahmed works really hard and isn't asking for anything for himself - just money for the kiddos to celebrate eid.

the easiest way to contribute is through the link below:

(alternatively, you can use paypal.me/qquwq to donate or send money via simk’s P/P email: kuuhaiyu@gmail.com. you do not need a paypal account to donate to this campaign.)

we will collect the money through this paypal campaign, and then wire transfer it to ahmed once the goal is reached. generally, the wire transfer takes about 3-5 days to reach our friends in palestine. once ahmed is able to withdraw the money, he will send pictures and proof of the donation so that i can post on tumblr. :)

thank you all for your generosity in advance. i can't stress enough how much ahmed has done, even outside of the campaigns that we help him with.

$150 / $350 | 43% | $200 remaining!

hello everyone! we are still hoping to provide ahmed and shimaa's family with some new clothing for eid. if you are able to, we will also be running this campaign for a day or so more as eid is fast approaching. thank you all in advance for your support and generosity.

IT IS UP TO YOU.

Yes, you can watch the documentaries, read the literature, and attend protests. You should do all of these things.

But there is no other way around the fact that the best way to support Palestinians is to donate directly to them. The situation in Gaza is simply unbearable.

Gazans’ ravaged homes are under attack once again, from helicopters, turrets, drones, and missiles. A gallon of gasoline costs $50. A pound of potatoes, $20. Israel controls the water supply, charging Gazans half a euro per liter. This is a war on humanity. There are no jobs in Gaza besides survival, no opportunity for income.

With Eid around the corner, the Al-Anqars (@ghadaanqar9) cannot afford new clothes for even two people, let alone their family of 14. Every single euro to their campaign goes to keeping them alive. This is the ONLY WAY to support them.

Please, share and DONATE to this campaign as much as possible. It is impossible to understate this—IT IS UP TO YOU. DO WHAT YOU CAN, WHILE YOU STILL CAN.

Please don't let this slow down

a whole bunch of gazan mutual aid projects and nonprofits. if the decision of which individual fundraiser to give to feels too daunting, or if you just want to help as many people as possible in one go, these are great initiatives to support.

  • care for gaza - focuses on providing food and essential supplies. donate here or here.
  • connecting humanity - securing internet access via donations of virtual sim cards (esims). if you can't afford a whole plan yourself, crips for esims is a communal pool that will use your donation to purchase and maintain esims
  • gaza soup kitchen - provides food, medical care, and classes for children. also has a gofundme
  • glia gaza medical support initiative - provides medical care through field clinics and tents at hospitals. donations can also be sent through their website.
  • ele elna elak - provides clean water, food, clothing, and shelter. they also have a gofundme
  • life for gaza - raising money for the gaza municipality to repair water and waste management infrastructure
  • taawon - partners with local civil organizations to provide food, water, medical care, shelter, and basic supplies
  • the sameer project - running various initiatives providing tents, medical care, and necessities. they have their own encampment project focused on sheltering families with children, sick and disabled members, or members in need of perinatal care
  • islamic relief worldwide's gaza emergency appeal - provides food, water, hygiene kits, medical supplies, and psychological support
  • baitulmaal - provides a variety of necessities, including food, water, shelter, and medical supplies
  • gaza mutual aid fund - distributes food, hygiene products, water, and other essential supplies, including financial support. run by @/el-shab-hussein's amazing friend Mona. updates can be found on her instagram.
  • hygiene kits for gaza - provides hygiene supplies including menstrual products, wipes, and toothbrushes/toothpaste
  • anera - provides a variety of necessities, including food, water, hygiene supplies, medicine, blankets and mattresses, and psychological care
  • palestine children's relief fund - provides supplies and support with a focus on children. also has an initiative for lebanon
  • dahnoun mutual aid - provides water, food, tents, baby supplies, financial support, and other necessities. updates can be found through their instagram

certainly this is not an exhaustive list, so please feel free to add on other projects or organizations that i didn't include. and as always, please take the time to donate if you can and share. it truly makes all the difference.

shayma escaped gaza before the crossing closed and has been struggling to care for her family of 16 in egypt. rent is skyrocketing, and now her brother needs help funding his master's degree. she just lost her childhood friend and her friend's family, she needs support right now.

she didn't ask me to post this, i just wanna show her there's still people out there who care. please help her

help shimaa shelter her family (april 2025)

hello! as some of you may know, @kuuhaiyu and i have been working with shimaa (@itsshimaa200) and her family to provide her with housing throughout the genocide. last month, we were able to raise enough money to fund her rent for the month of march. now that march is ending, we're hoping to do the same thing for the month of april!

thankfully, the rent has remained at a lower price despite the renewed assault by israel on the gaza strip. we are hoping to raise $445 by march 26th, as it generally takes 3-5 days for the money transfer to shimaa's family to take place.

if you have the means, please help us support this family! shimaa is the sole caretaker in her family as her mother was wounded in the genocide, her grandmother is elderly, and her nephew jihad is chronically ill. it would mean a lot to continue to have shelter - it allows her some modicum of comfort and it gives her a place to continue working and earning money for her family.

if you are able, please click through the link below to donate:

(alternatively, you can use paypal.me/qquwq or via simk’s P/P email: kuuhaiyu@gmail.com. you do not need a paypal account to donate to this fundraiser!)

as always, if you are unable to donate, it would be great if you could reblog this post to get it the reach it needs. :) thank you all for your continued support!

After a certain point, the only conclusion a Gazan can make is that there is no humanity left in the world.

How can you believe in kindness when your entire world has turned to rubble twice over? When babies are shot down in front of their mothers by turrets? When you are denied the basics of life: food, water, shelter, and denied even the ability to find them yourself. Death becomes all you know. There is no space, no time, no energy left, with which to believe in kindness.

But those not in Gaza, we cannot prove them right. We are still here to stand by the Palestinian people, to fight with them, to stand against barbarity, and for the cause of human life. At least, I think so. Why is it so hard to reblog a post? I do not mean to say you are a bad person, or guilt trip, but I ask you that simple question so that you think about the effort it takes for you to save a life. A movement of your thumb. A microsecond of your day. Does that change anything for you? And even more: do you know how much life is held in €5? An amount that can fall out of your pocket is life-sustaining to the people of Gaza, where gas is €80/kilo, where water is just as expensive as oil.

Ghada Al-Anqar’s campaign sustains the lives of 14 people. The eldest generation, Nabil and Fatima; their children Ghada, Mohamed and his wife, Ahed and his wife, and Khaled, who is engaged; and the children, Fatima, Iman, Nabil, Lama, Amir, and little Noor, who just turned 2.

Noor cries throughout the night as the bombs once again rain over her head and homeland. War is all she knows. But we have an opportunity to show her, to show the Al-Anqars, to show Gaza herself, that the world is with them. Kindness, love, solidarity will prevail.

Every euro counts. Every reblog counts. More than you could possibly ever know. Thank you for your continued support. Let's keep going.

ceasefire today, accountability from tomorrow until the end of time. all my love to the steadfast people and martyrs of gaza

in common israeli behavior, as phase I of the ceasefire expires today israel attempts to sabotage the ceasefire again to avoid accountability.

they have violated the conditions for phase I and are refusing to move to phase II by announcing a war crime instead: resuming the starvation siege and preventing international aid from entering gaza during ramadan. this is all par for the course. israel has never met an agreement it wouldn't break, nor missed an opportunity to inflict more suffering. accountability will come regardless, but now is the time to be alert, especially as western media tries to obfuscate the reasons for the ceasefire violations.

tonight at 3 am israel unilaterally ended the ceasefire and resumed the genocide in gaza, killing at least 45 people so far including dozens of children. for two weeks it had already been starving gazans in ramadan and preventing aid, food and fuel from getting in. accountability is a very long game. the more violent they get, the longer they put it off, the more the world will continue to pay.

i've been saying this for two years, but it doesn't hurt to say it again: the short term of this is ugly. there's no short-term solution. things are going to get more violent. but the long-term is already lost to them. all we have to do is stay the course, and don't let them intimidate you into silence or exhaust you with the sheer scale of the violence. these are the tactics of a bully nation led by a bully sponsor, and the world has seen all of them fall before

the death toll is reportedly currently at 200, including 80 children killed before dawn
