Hey everyone, I know it's going to be a busy day for a lot of people, but Google enrolled everyone over 18 into their AI program automatically.
If you have a google account, first go to gemini.google.com/extensions and turn everything off.
Then you need to go to myactivity.google.com/product/gemini and turn off all Gemini activity tracking. You do have to do them in that order to make sure it works.
Honestly, I'm not sure how long this will last, but this should keep Gemini off your projects for a bit.
I saw this over on bluesky and figured it would be good to spread on here. It only takes a few minutes to do.
Writers: It's asking to read your Google Docs and be able to 'summarize' things from them and such things. I just turned all mine off.
Google is already complying in advance and showing its belly for the fascists to scratch. They will hand over the data Gemini or any other scraping bots collect, straight to the government.
If you write smut, they will criminalize pornography and use this to prosecute you.
If you write slash or anything remotely lgbt+ inclusive, they will criminalize queerness and use this to prosecute you.
If you have subversive literature or any kind of left-leaning messaging, fiction or nonfiction, they will criminalize that and use this to prosecute you.
There needs to be a mass exodus from Google docs like, now.
eh?

Super Mario Sunshine famously contains "Kug", a normally unseen Goomba sprite in a unique art style that can be found out of bounds underneath Pinna Park. It is stationary and does nothing except shock Mario if he clips underground and touches it.
However, an unused object exists in the game that is called "TypicalManager" which continuously spawns a different type of Kug. These Kugs simply move slowly across the ground and are neither harmed by Mario nor can harm Mario themselves.
Given the name of the object, this was likely used to test "typical" enemy behaviors, such as walking.
