SPN Season 9 AU:Sam doesn’t survive the trials but Dean can’t live without him. An angel, Ezekiel tells him that he knows a method to bring his brother back but it’s some really ancient angel mojo. In the end the spell doesn’t work perfectly and Dean gets a sixteen years old Sammy from another universe where Dean is the one who died…
So I wrote the thing…
Dean arrives too late to stop Sam from completing the trials and closing the Gates of Hell, but the angel Ezekiel (Gadreel) answers his prayer and helps him get Sam back. Only problem is that the Sam he gets is sixteen and just watched his Dean (who he’d been in a more than brotherly relationship with for a year) die too. But a Sam is a Sam is a Sam, right? So now there’s an eighteen year difference in their ages and a world of difference in their experiences, but somehow they’ve got to figure out how to be brothers because they are all they’ve got.

I strongly believe that Sam's room is the preferred room for fucking, and it's all because Dean got that stupidass memory foam mattress. Look, Sam can rail, but there's zero bounceback on that stupid thing. Plus they tend to retain heat like a motherfucker, and so you're not only working twice as hard for the same about of badonk, it's also an absolute sauna in there and Dean doesn't even have a fan to make it bearable. Zero stars, what was Dean thinking.
And the answer is, maybe he was thinking with portals: if they mainly nail in Sam's room, it's Sam's sheets that will need to get washed all the time. Turn on the fan, get your pole polished and your rocks off, let the actual springs take you to fucky paradise, and you're golden.
If they fall asleep together in Sam's room, all to the good: Dean will get the opportunity to bitch about Sam's rockhard mattress, and bitching always makes Dean happy; Sam won't boil to death by getting glued to Dean on the saunabed. Dean does prefer his own bed because he's a princess who needs a warm cloud to carry him away, and Sam will sometimes crawl in there too because he wants a squeeze, but I think they sleep apart as often as not. They're big dudes and they do not have one of those split sleep number things.
Maturity is found in knowing you can sleep separately from your best-beloved and they'll still be the best-beloved in the morning, and you won't even have to kill them for being a goddamn SPACE HEATER, SAM, JESUS CHRIST.

My 5'0 110 pounds wife sleeps in a marshmallow with 7 thousand pillows and 52 cushions, nesting between six duvets, with a room temperature good enough to make bread. It takes me half an hour every morning to dig her up from the softest rubble to get her out of bed.
Given how that height poll is currently going, Dean's probably going to be 5' by the time the day's out.
