hey there jay! thank you for that lovely compliment, much appreciated.

as to tips on how to render, I canโ€™t really give you a super concise answer as I just freestyle everything www

Iโ€™m no professional either so I can only tell you about what I know and how I do it TwT

first things off: I work a lot with colour theory, I have not mastered it but I am trying haha. learn about values, contrast, colour schemes (complementary, analogous and triadic are the ones I work the most with) and a lot of other stuff.

something that I often fall victim to myself is details, I get too caught up in rendering something and then I work my butt off for hours on end for the hair only and I havenโ€™t had any progress on all the other things. so try to not overcomplicate things for yourself.

instead you should slowly build up the detail! start with the bigger picture and slowly move onto the details.

also itโ€™s okay when your art looks โ€œmessyโ€, donโ€™t overpolish your art. like i already said, donโ€™t get too caught up in the details, sometimes that messiness can add texture.

thatโ€™s all I really have in mind right now,,, if you have any other questions, please donโ€™t be afraid to reach out to me!

lastly, thank you for the compliment again ww it means a lot to me.
