Hehe, Jack ignores everyone, the most he will do when someone talks to him is look at the person and then walk away, he will not answer or make any gesture, he only talks to Toby and the Seed Eater, so if he answers the person, which is to make a gesture, he is already trying to make Toby jealous, which almost always works, Jack will only answer (make a gesture) someone just to make Toby jealous. Toby knows that he does not talk and does not like to answer other people, so why is he answering that person? This drives Toby crazy.
Jack also usually hurts himself just so Toby will interrogate him, then he keeps dodging the questions until Toby gets angry and starts humiliating him, Jack is unfortunately very masochistic.
Jack doesn't usually make Toby jealous, because he knows that Toby has problems and doesn't want to stress him out, so he doesn't do it often, he does a few other things, like pretending to hide something or teasing Toby in some way.
Jack does the first thing I mentioned more, but like I said before, he doesn't do it often, he almost never does it actually, but he likes to see Toby angry and humiliating him, because he's a crazy guy just like Toby.
Toby goes on very long missions, so he and Jack are separated for a while. And yes, they miss each other a lot, especially the physical touch, Jack is the worst between the two, he really can't handle the lack of physical touch.
Jack gets sad and grumpy, if someone comes to talk to him, he won't even stop, he'll just keep walking as if the person wasn't there, he'll spend the whole day in his cabin sleeping and will only come out when he feels hungry and will keep venting to the Seed Eater about how much he misses Toby, he'll take some of Toby's clothes to try to smell him again, he'll lie on Toby's bedside and use his things, he'll keep remembering things they used to do and such, Jack really doesn't know how to deal with the lack of Toby's touch, he's simply addicted to touching, hugging and doing everything with Toby, so he really suffers.
It's the same with Toby, he gets sad, grumpy and down, so Kate has to listen to his complaints, she has to hear about how Toby misses Jack, how he misses his smile, his body, how he used to tear his victim in half and his hugs, kisses and bites, and she constantly thinks "what if I kill myself now". Toby will always take three or more of Jack's sweatshirts or normal clothes to take with him on the mission and he will take his blanket, Toby will keep Jack's blanket and Jack will keep Toby's blanket, Toby will also always text Jack and Jack will always text Toby. Toby also can't deal with the lack of Jack's touch, Jack is worse, but even so Toby misses it a lot and suffers because of it.
When the mission is over and the two finally meet again, they can't be apart from each other, so Jack prepares a whole day for the two of them to be together. And Kate is grateful that this hell is over.
