Once he was a princeโฆ
A character who is tied up and gagged, but their eyes speak volumes. The rage, the promise that when they get free, everyone here is dead.
the whimpering orb of agony.
the whimpering orb is incapable of experiencing happiness or joy or positive emotions. it's easy to upset or scare the orb. if you make loud sounds or sudden movements it will cause the orb to cry bitterly in agony for a long time. it doesn't seem to have a mouth or internal organs (except eyes) but it can somehow make whimpering sounds and sobbing. when the orb isn't crying it will look solemn and sad. sometimes it cries in its sleep. if you let the orb sleep on your chest it will soak it in bitter tears.
the orb likes to be brushed gently and taking baths. but still it experiences unfathomable sadness. if you leave the orb alone and don't care for it it will experience unfathomable agony and pain and die from extreme suffering. this is why you must care for the whimpering orb. be really gentle and patient with the orb. it's the only way.

Stupid Sexy Sauron for @tolkienvillainsweek
That time Jon got kidnapped by The Circus; lots of fear, some boredom, malnutrition (no Statement for a month, duh!) and an intense and unwanted skin-care-regime.
you ever accidentally make a guy that's so fun to beat up?
Here's some
Reactions to getting whipped
Content: whipping in punishment and slavery kind of context, new slave, PTSD
- Presenting another part of their body to protect the first. Being hit on the same place multiple times can cause more severe injuries and our brains know that instinctively
- Gasp of pain rather than an initial cry--this type of pain is so sharp, it's shocking. (This changes with different types of whips--one with heavier knots will feel more like getting pelted with rocks)
- Holding their breath so they don't scream
- clutching their work/whipping post tightly, bending over it
- If on legs or arms--Pulling partly out of the way so that their clothes bulk over the area they were just whipped. The whipping effect is significantly hampered by having to get through clothes.
- Screams usually start with a "ckl" sound
- Afterward there may be different kinds of physical shock (I don't mean necessarily medical shock)--a sudden severe pain like this tells their body they are in serious danger, so they may be shaking, feeling faint, have incredible amounts of adrenaline
- Feeling pain where they were lashed every time they see whumper again
- Rage that can't abate. Especially if it was sudden and shocked their body, they would instinctively need to eliminate such a dangerous threat, so the animal rage may not die down for a long time, if ever
I can add to this. Reactions, but also anything else I thought of. sorry if it's random and rambling
- If you have a whumper who knows what they're doing, trying to hit the same spot multiple times in a row is like... so much worse. Second strike like 10x worse
- Cus of that ^ squirming at first. Trying to get it to fall anywhere other than the last strike. At some point it stops mattering
- The pain is exponential
- Also the spine! Or anything boney but especially spine 1 hurts way worse 2 gives like an animalistic panic over having your back broken
- Screaming gets hard cus to scream you have to breath and breathing gets hard. Both cus it stretches your back and cus idk panic? Also like the instinct to make yourself small. But the breath holding is very real
- Whimpering
- Also it's not like a "cut" like a knife cut, can be if the knot is really small, but it's usually its not "clean" like that. More like it removes skin? Like a scrape but deeper. It's not a sharp blade cutting you it's a dull round object with enough force to break skin
- Yeah the shock thing is definitely true, the fucking shaking!! It's like the teeth chattering hard to talk, hard to move properly kind. In fact, it's hard to move at all. Body can be like frozen and dizzy and hyper alert all at once
- Also like afterward, the pain stays brutal. Every movement activates it and makes literally everything more difficult. Especially anything using arms, from eating to any labor. All bad. Don't get me started on showers.
- Even slouching hurts and will like break open scabs. That movement of like curling in on yourself, esp if it's like a sudden involuntary flinch, no fun
A former lawyer fallen into disgrace, Iden was brought onto the team by his old friend (and current boyfriend) Briggs. He handles the logistics and administration while Briggs handles the squad proper.
They're really healthy guys I promise (/j)
Despite doing his best to evade it, Iden's gambling problems catch up with him even as the co-handler of an elite police team. Iden is kidnapped by the crime boss he owes and put up in a brothel to pay his debts, complete with a cybernetic implant that acts as an aphrodisiac for both him and his visitors.
Briggs eventually comes to his rescue, but he's not the most understanding.
Whump dialogue #65
"Please, don't take me back!"
"Hm, well, it all depends on how well you beg."
Whumpee sank to their knees and looked up at their captor. "Please..." they started. "Not again, I can't-- Please, leave me alone. Let me go. What is it you want? I'll do anything, please, just let me go!"
With every hitch of breath, every hesitation, every sob, Whumper's eyes softened, but the hunger in them only increased. He took a deep controlled breath and let it out in a fond sigh.
"Oh, yes, I'd almost forgotten how amazing you sound when you beg. You're definitely coming with me."

Thinking about a royal whumpee chained to their thone...
A puppet ruler who can't be trusted to behave, so their "advisors" keep them bound with what looks like decorative jewelry to those who don't know.
An overthrown royal forced to kneel next to the throne, chained like a dog, as a symbol of the new ruler's power.
A ruler bound by magic to their throne, to the responsibility of their kingdom. They took this on willingly, but the cost of the crown must be paid in exhaustion and blood.
