Hi there! My blog is basically for reblogging kpop stuff (from time to time some F1 and personal stuff too)

Kpop title track ranking: aespa

In this series I’ll be ranking kpop groups/soloists title tracks based on my taste.

I've known aespa since debut and I was actually quite hyped when they debuted. Unfortunately, I've also had some rough patches with my interest level with them. However, today I had this realization that I do am quite partial to them in comparison to some other 4th gen girl groups. So, what else could I do with this realization but to make the ranking!

  • Girls - After the first two comebacks that made me almost lose my interest in them (spoiler alert) Girls dropped and I was so amazed that something this cool could follow those. It's just so dark and cool sounding aka right up my alley. And still holds up.
  • Supernova - SOTY for a reason. So so catchy. So so fun.
  • Whiplash - Again so so catchy. Also a fun time and I'm here for it.
  • Drama - It took me a while to get it but when I did I really did. It's another absolutely cool one to me.
  • Black Mamba - Such a cool debut. I was all for this from the get-go.
  • Spicy - Definitely took my time to start liking this one but eventually I did. Can't bring it any higher than this though.
  • Armageddon - Unfortunately I don't think I get this one. The chorus is fun but it doesn't make me wanna listen to the whole thing.
  • Next Level - Unarguably I was never the biggest fan of this. I didn't even remember the weird completely different sounding part of the song. Yeah, an ok song but not a winner on my books.
  • Savage - I was absolutely against this when it dropped and can't say I enjoyed listening to it now either. It's so messy. Some of the parts are nice enough but most of them are just irritating to me.

And one b-side I want to shout out: I'm Unhappy - Hauntingly beautiful, almost painfully relatable at times. Dare I say a masterpiece?
