Are they really making a Frozen 3?
Either Elsa turns into the actual character from the book and / or Anna gets fire powers.
Otherwise, what's the point.
Elsa is not a demigod of any kind. She's a mortal just like Anna is. They both have a spiritual title, the Fifth Spirit along with Anna being Queen and Elsa back to being a Princess. Jen Lee has confirmed this herself.
And no Anna will should not and will not have fire powers. It defeats the whole purpose of her character. Anna's power is love. It is a power, just not in a physical form, because her role as the Fifth Spirit is helping the humans see the good in magic as she does and Elsa's is helping the magic see the good in the humans. And to do so, it requires love. This was indirectly confirmed when Elsa said “A bridge has two sides, and mother had two daughters” after Anna assumed Elsa only was the bridge. Magic being the Elemental spirits lost their faith in humanity after what King Runeard did and humans lost their faith in magic after they got angry and "attacked" them (similar to how Arendelle citizens feared Elsa's magic when it became exposed).
Elsa being the actual Snow Queen has happened. She is the Snow Queen. Frozen (1) was the adaptation of The Snow Queen story. The rest are sequels that add to the story, the universe in the first movie. Each Disney Princess isn't a word to word, scene to scene animation) adaptation of the original fairytale story book. Yeah Elsa could go villain made temporality for this plot like her storybook counterpart but I highly doubt they would turn her fully into the Snow Queen written in the book. The Snow Queen in Frozen is a new character and someone we have all grown to love and so they will only expand on that character instead of turning her into someone else.
The point of Frozen 3 is to expand on the story we have, to answer the burning questions we demand to be answered, to explore and add to new and old characters. Frozen 2 shouldn't have been and isn't the end of the Frozen saga for many reasons. There is more story to tell that hopefully doesn't involve Anna having powers of any sort or Elsa becoming a totally different unrecognisable version of herself.
