content: fluff, smut, MDNI, jeonghan has a unique way of helping comfort you after a difficult day...
Your dynamic was generally pretty much routine at this point. Jeonghan often took control and you submitted to whatever he wanted. You trusted him blindly at this point and honestly, if it isn’t broken why bother fix it.
But today. Today was different.
Every so often things. Snap.
Sometimes when you’ve had a bad day or have been too stressed at work, Jeonghan lets you have a little treat. Instead of being the man in charge in the bedroom, he lets you take the reins and do whatever you like.
And today was one of those days. After a long day of back to back meetings with people repeating your own instructions back to you for hours on end you have had enough. With a slam behind you, Jeonghan peaks from behind the fridge door to find you almost fuming at the front door. You drop your bag by the door and quietly take your shoes off and place your coat in the closet.
Without a word you pad over to the kitchen. Before a hello could be exchanged you pull Jeonghan away from the fridge in the kitchen and pull him in for a tight hug. He can feel the heat and anger from your day radiating off of you. Jeonghan came home not too long ago, still in his clothes from work: a business casual suit and tie.
His arms tightened around you as his face pressed into your hair, giving you a quick kiss on the crown of your head, “Not a good day?” You shook your head against him in response and he chuckled lightly. “How can I help you forget about it.”
You look up at him, a little lighter than your fury in the door a little earlier, but he can still see the residual anger in your eyes. “Can I lead today?”
He looks down at you with a smile, his hands moving to your hips, rubbing soft circles with his thumbs. “Of course you can love, just tell me when you want to go and I’ll follow.”
And that’s how you ended up here.
You hold on to his tie as he sits on the floor, his back resting against the wooden post at the end of your bed. He looks at you with love sick eyes, drunk off the control you have over him.
You tighten your hold on his tie and pull slightly, making his head roll back to hit the edge of the mattress. You watch him give you a lopsided smile, almost smirk-like.
Standing over him you have all the power… at least that's what it looks like.
“Fuck I love it when you think you're in control,” he says almost moaning, his eyes rolling back before he fixes his gaze back on you. His eyes are dark and wild and his smile never leaving his face.
“You look so pretty standing over me baby you should do it more often,” he slurs as his hand glides up your leg slowly. Starting at your ankle, he moves his hand up until he reaches the hem of your skirt. As his hand was about to grab on to the bottom of your skirt, your hand jerks up, tightening the hold you have on the tie around his throat.
His hand falls to his side as his smile widens with a groan. His head is leaning up looking at you. As you watches you, his tongue peaks out, running along his teeth, almost like he’s testing you. His body is under your submission, but his eyes tell another story.
He looks up at you as if he is challenging you. Like he dares you to try anything with him and see what the consequences may be.
Ultimately this is what you want. You want to press his buttons and see how riled up you can get him because that how you will truly forget about your day or even your week. He will make sure of it.
“Get up,” you say to him still holding on to his tie as he moves. Now standing in front of you, you begin to slowly undress him, starting with removing his tie before you move to the buttons of his shirt. With every button you undo, you look up at him, his gaze burning into your skin as he follows your lead.
With his shirt open you move your hands under the fabric, rubbing your hands along his torso until your reach his back. You pull him closer to you for a kiss. As his lips reach yours, a fire is ignited between the two of you, pouring every piece of anger and longing from the day into you. Your nails dig into him, leaving scratch marks down his back you’ll be able to admire in the days to come.
Needing to pull back for air, you take a step back before pushing him on to the bed behind him. He lands on his back against the mattress, he slowly crawls backwards until his head hits the pillow, before sitting up on his elbows to better watch you. As he does so, you throw the tie somewhere in the room and place a knee on the bed, watching his heavy breathing.
Jeonghan was beautiful everyone second of every day. You swear you could try to catch him off guard and he would still be the most beautiful man you have ever seen. But nothing beats him laying on the bed, out of breath from how turned on he is. The sight would inspire wars and masterpieces.
“Are you planning on staring all night love?” He asks with his signature smirk as you are snapped out of your daze. You roll your eyes with a light chuckle before focusing back on the man before you and your goal for the night.
Standing up straight, you quickly take off your shirt and stepping out of your work pants before crawling over to him. He was still in his pants, but they did virtually nothing to hide what was waiting for you under there.
Hovering over him, you take a moment to admire him before leaning in for a kiss. The kiss was full of love and passion, but was slow as you take your time with him. One hand sat by his head while the other rested on his chest, feeling his heartbeat race under your touch. Your smirked into the kiss before moving down his jaw, leaving kisses and marks as you went. Purple marks bloomed in your wake, leaving evidence of the path you take down his body. Reaching just above his belly button you sit up and look into his lidded eyes as his sprawled body waits for your next move.
You adjust yourself above him to sit on his lap, both your hands moving to his lap. You can feel his hips move slightly below you, trying to get any friction between you. Refusing to give in you bite back a moan as you hold his hips down and pinch his nipple lightly.
He looks at you in shock and moves a hand up to defend the now hurt nipple. “Ow??”
“I said I was taking the lead today. That was bratty behavior. So you got punished. And don’t pretend like you didn’t like it.”
“I’ll pretend all I wa-” He began to say before letting out a groan as his hands shot back to your hips which are now grinding against his straining bulge.
“That’s right, less talking.” You say continuing to move your hips at a slow pace. At this point you can feel your panties soak through, beginning to make a mess on his pants. Neither of you could bother to care at this point.
You lean back down to leave more marks along his torso, decorating him with reminders of you.
“Baby please, I can’t wait anymore.” Despite wanting to tease him a little longer, you honestly were starting to get impatient too.
Without word you moved your hands to his pants, unbuttoning his slacks and moving them down with his boxers in one quick movement. You grabbed him with one hand as the other supported your weight, leaning against his chest. He tried to support you with his hands on your hips, but you could feel the need through his grip on you. You hovered over him, lining him up with you before you slowly sank down on to him.
Trying to keep up the facade of control, you move at your pace, slowly taking in more and more of him. Your eyes close as you take in the stretch as Jeonghan’s head hits the pillow with a groan. Once you feel him bottom out you sit still for a moment, adjusting to him even though this is far from your first time together.
You feel a rush in your head, your eyes still closed, before your hips start to slowly roll against him. Opening your eyes, you look up to meet his fiery gaze. Just one look and you know exactly what he wants. With that, you move up slowly before coming back down on him. Each movement has Jeonghan grabbing at a new part of you and squeezing as if it will help ground him.
His eyes are wild, watching you bounce, as he lets out the whinest moans. “Look at you, riding me like a fucking queen.”
You couldn’t respond, all of your energy focused on maintaining your speed on him, but the look you gave him told him everything he needed.
As your movements became shakier, Jeonghan knew you were getting closer. He wanted to take over, he wanted to push you over the edge, but this was your moment to be in control. Instead he gripped the sheets and planted his feet on the bed to move his hips up to meet your movements.
“Hannie,” you whimpered with a broken moan, getting closer. Every sound you made urged him to move fast, hit harder and deeper than before. His hands moved back to your hips to help meet your movements.
As you got louder he knew you were getting closer. “Come on love, cum for me.” He moved your hair from in front of your face and held on to your chin, watching your face as you got closer to your release. With a final hit you let out a loud moan and collapsed on top of him as you hit your high. His movements slow down as you ride out the orgasm, but the movement never stops as he chases his own high.
Giving you a chance to come to, he moves your hair from your face again and moves your face to look at him, “where do you want it?”
“In me,” you mumble against his chest, spent from your day and riding him. At this point he is looking to find his end as fast as possible, and so with that he grabs your hips and fucks into you hard and fast. You clutch on to his chest, feeling his groans as he gets closer and closer. After a few moments he finally cums, hugging your body close to him as he unloads in you.
Laying there on the bed together, breathing heavily, you almost forget what got you here in the first place.

At the end of the day you’re the only one who really understands. You call it love but you’re both still fucking around seeing other people on the side. Waking up in the morning wasn’t always a chore. Usually you gave yourself enough time to run your coffee machine and do your full AM skincare routine. The sun was never up when you rose, which always made it tougher to pull yourself from the warmth of your bed. It was the cost of running your own business, one where you needed to be there to open up shop. While it was a struggle to make it out on time, it wasn’t a chore. Every morning you travelled to your passion project, your dream job.
The daycare looked a little drab with all the lights off as you parked in the lot outside. It had taken years of hard work in school and then raising the money to get yourself the rental space, but the little daycare was yours and every day was rewarding.
Unlocking the door, you moved inside and flicked all the switches outside the office. The rooms illuminated, all the colourful displays of hand-crafted art and spelling guides suddenly blooming to life. One of your favourite things the daycare did was display copies of their attendees’ creations, hand-print art and colouring sheets and everything in between. Your staff always reported that the kids were proud that they could see their art lining the space they spent so much time in every day, obviously through less and more simple wording.
A bit of time had passed and you had gotten most of the set-up for the day done. It would still be a while before the first parents would arrive and even the staff would only arrive a few minutes before official open. You believed that it was more cohesive and less stressful for everyone if you were the one to handle all that and the attendants could arrive ready for the day.
You really weren’t expecting the knock on the front glass door, the sound of it sending you jumping a little where you were sitting at the greeting desk. After the initial shock, your body started moving automatically, kicking into gear. You could see two sets of legs through the door, one adult and one mini.
At first glance the man behind the door seemed intimidating. There was something about the energy he exuded. He wasn’t looming over you, meeting you eye to eye, but there was something that made him seem bigger than he was.
“I’m so sorry, I see the hours don’t start until 7,” Your gaze automatically follow his pointing to the plaque in the window despite knowing it by heart already. “There was a work emergency and I wanted to make sure she got in before the cut-off time- seems like I went a little overboard.” The man’s energy was contagious and you found yourself laughing along. The man moved to rest his hand on his little companion’s head, fingers pressing lightly to her scalp in what looked like a calming massage.
You looked down at the little girl and was pleasantly surprised that she had a familiar face. Her eyes were wide and looking right up at you. Quickly your smile warmed, moving to kneel down to meet her level.
“Hi Seoyeon, good morning.”
She raised her hand to offer a shy wave, turning to press her face into her guardian’s pantleg.
“I didn’t even tell you my name, sorry again. I’m Seoyeon’s… uncle, Hongjoong.”
“You don’t seem very sure of that?” You joke, standing back up. The bell on the door chimes as you open it up and usher the duo in.
“I’m her dad’s best friend, I just- yeah.”
As they walk back in you feel a little tug at your work apron. Seoyeon’s little hand has grabbed the fabric and she’s turned her wide pleading gaze your way. “It’s okay I get it,” You offer to Hongjoong, then to Seoyeon, “Yes, yes, I’m coming. Don’t worry sweetie.”
You pat lightly at her back, reassuring her that you’re there, guiding them into the playroom. “I can take her early this time since it’s a one-off thing; I hope everything is okay with her father’s work.” Hongjoong thanks you, relief evident in his voice. He signs easily when you turn the drop-off sheet his way.
“Seoyeonnie, what do you think of some early colouring time?”
[12:29 am]
"What do you think you were doing out there?" He looked at you with an unmistakable fire in his eye.
"At the party? I was enjoying myself? All I did was chat with people and grab a few snacks."
"For hours."
"Jeonghan you were literally there with me, you know exactly what I did. I don't understand what this arguement is abou-" your tone was starting to get more stressed as this conversation continued, but that wasn't Jeonghan's goal.
You were resting against the kitchen counter, your arms crossed as you were watching Jeonghan stand in the middle of the living room. He was watching you as your hands started to fidget with the hem of your sweater.
“Darling, it’s never about that. I trust you blindly. It’s about the others.” At this point Jeonghan’s eyes are locked on to yours. His gaze feels almost threatening as he approaches you, a beast stalking its prey. “It’s the way those people look at you. How they talk to you. How they think they have a chance.”
Jeonghan takes your hand in his gently, his eyes never leaving yours and bring the back of your hand to his lips for a soft kiss. His hand then begins to run up your arm, leaving goosebumps in its wake. Travelling past your shoulder, up your neck his hand reaches your face as he holds you by your chin, tilting your gaze slightly higher as he comes closer, pressing himself against you.
“Its the way they don’t know you’re mine.”
You are left speechless as even your breathing fails you. Your look of awe tells Jeonghan everything he needs to know as he smirks.
“You were enjoying all the attention they were giving you darling. I can’t blame them you are an absolute delight. But I can’t help to get a little jealous my love.” He almost whispers against your lips before pulling away.
As he takes a step back it felt like the charm he put you under for the moment snapped out of existence. You take notice of where you are and your reaction to Jeonghan. You are still pressed up against the kitchen counter, both hands now gripping the edge as you held on to every word Jeonghan spoke to you.
You watched him continue to move towards your shared bedroom as you remain frozen in your spot for a few more moments, your soul taking its time connecting your emotions to your brain.
As Jeonghan crossed through the doorway to your bedroom, you quickly turned the lights off in the kitchen and followed him into the bedroom, closing the door behind you.
You set your phone down on your nightstand, keeping a close eye on the movements happening across the room. Jeonghan mirrors your actions and eventually sits on the edge of the bed, beginning to undo the top few buttons of his shirt.
You slowly move to sit next to him on the bed, facing him. One of your hands moves to cover his hand with yours, wordlessly offering him help to get ready for bed.
“You know you are the one who is always on my mind, right?”
He smirks again, “of course.”
“And you know no one else matters to me except for you.”
“Always.”
“And that I am yours.”
“The same way I am yours.”
You smile softly as you watch each button reveal more of your life partner, before looking up at him and giving him a soft kiss. As you pull away his hands move down to your waist, pulling you back in even closer this time, manuvering you into his lap.
“I don’t mean to be overbearing, I really don’t. Trust me when I say I trust you blindly. But sometimes I just want the world to know you’re mine. I want them to remember who your heart belongs to.” His words continue to slowly spill as his mouth ghosts along your neck.
“I want them to know whose name you scream,” was the last thing he spoke before he began to softly kiss your neck. Your hands moved to his shoulders, moving under the open shirt to feel his warm skin under your touch.
His lips move up your neck to your jaw, eventually finding your lips once more. “Maybe I just need to remind everyone that you’re mine. And that I’m never letting go.”

content: fluff, he really likes the cat, tw: league of legends, there will be a part two?, a lot of world building for the cat
Wonwoo’s day started like any other day. He woke up in the morning to his alarm, stared at the ceiling for a solid 10 minutes dreading the idea of getting up to go on a run, and then proceeded to get out of bed to get ready for said dreaded run. He wasn’t necessarily a morning person so his morning routine was just that - a routine. A cycle he went through mindlessly every day so that he could at least get his day started.
There wasn’t much special to this particular day; the air was a little crispy as the fall was coming in so he settled for a pair of black sweatpants and a thin grey sweater to get him through him morning run. Walking through the apartment he waved to his roommate who just got back from the gym, grabbed his headphones, keys, and phone from the counter, and walked out the door.
Part of his daily morning routine was to walk over to the forested area of the park for his stretches before he ran 5 laps around the park. Normally this would take him about an hour.
Bopping his head to the music in his headphones he was about to start running when he felt something brush up against him. He quickly ripped off his headphones and jumped out of the way. The park was not unfamiliar to some wildlife, so fearing that he was about to become a squirrel’s next victim he jumped on a nearby picnic bench and looked back.
What he found was a curious small black cat looking back at him, confused as to why its new friend ran away. Wonwoo sat there for a second. Well for longer than a second. He sat there for a bit. He stared at the cat. The cat stared back. This was suddenly: the best day ever.
“Aren’t you a little guy, come here pspspspsps” Wonwoo said putting on his best cat-attracting voice. He slowly got down from the picnic table and bent down to try to look safe enough to attract the cat over. With his hand slightly out for the cat to sniff, the cat cautiously approached with his nose to the tip of Wonwoo’s finger. After a preliminary sniff, the cat moved closer to Wonwoo for a full and loving pet.
Overjoyed, Wonwoo didn’t move from his current position and gave the adorable black cat all the pets and scratches he requested. The cat walked back and forth, rubbing against Wonwoo’s leg and purring.
After a good 5 minutes of getting many pats, the cat decided it was time to move on and with a final rub against Wonwoo’s leg, walked further into the park.
Watching the cat leave, feeling slightly betrayed, Wonwoo decided that his daily routine was going to look a little different today. He turned his music off, put his headphones around his neck, and started following the cat.
Along this journey he was worried that the cat was going to accidentally hurt itself or cause trouble on the roads, but this cat was surprisingly aware of everything. He paused and looked both ways before crossing the street and was sure to take clear paths. Everytime the cat stopped, Wonwoo tried to reach down and pet the cat again, but the cat had other ideas and started to walk away again.
After a good 20 minute walk the cat turned into a little neighbourhood and began doing a little cat run towards a specific house. Rather than running up to the front door, the cat decided to rest on the steps leading up to the house. Taking this as a sign to pet the cat, Wonwoo sat next to it and finally got a second chance to pet the furry little guy.
Both Wonwoo and the cat enjoyed this little serene moment until it was broken by a loud voice, “George, oh my goodness, there you are!”
Hearing a voice coming from the door that the stairs lead to, both Wonwoo and the cat jumped up and watched where the voice came from.
The cat walked towards the voice, snuggling up to the person, where as Wonwoo kind of just froze.
You were opening the door to leave for the store to pick up some groceries but in your way you found the cat that forgot to return home last night, and… a man?
You and Wonwoo kind of looked at each other for a solid minute until Wonwoo finally decided to say something, “His name is George?”
“...yea.”
“That’s fun. I found him in the park, he’s very nice.”
“Thank you.”
The exchange was painfully awkward, but what was not being said spoke louder for both of you. You found a cute boy sitting outside of your home and you wanted to ask him a million questions but didn’t know where to start. Where as Wonwoo accidentally stumbled across the house of a cute person and was too shy to possibly talk to them.
“Um also thank you for finding George! I thought he was lost so thank you for bringing him home!” You said with a smile.
“Honestly he brought me here,” Wonwoo said kinda nervously with a chuckle, “he’s really cute so kind of just followed him.”
You looked at the man in awe at how he just mindlessly followed a little creature around town. The thought of that happening made you laugh in which Wonwoo eventually joined you in.
“Well thank you regardless, do you want to come in for a warm drink? I don’t know how long you’ve been out but it’s a little cold out today.”
Deciding that today couldn’t be more out of the ordinary, Wonwoo threw all caution to the wind and agreed to come in. Following you and the cat into the home, he is met with a cozy little house.
You walk over to the kitchen and turn on the kettle to warm up some water. “Tea or coffee?”
“Coffee please.” Wonwoo said watching you move around the house. Not wanting to intrude more than he already has, he decided to sit down on the floor and pet George as he sat on a little door mat.
You watch the strange man sit next to your cat and pet it and wonder many things about him, but right now it was mostly about his name. “I realize now I forgot to introduce myself,” you let him know your name before asking him for his.
“Wonwoo,” he says with a smile before looking over to George again.
“Well Wonwoo, it’s very nice to meet you, I’m sure George would say the same. He’s usually not this friendly with people so this is a nice surprise.”
“Oh really?” His attention shifts over to you again. “He was really nice and friendly the whole time.” He looks over at the cat who is now purring, enjoying the scratches behind the ear.
Wonwoo takes a look around the house from his spot on the floor and notices the controllers sitting on the couch. “Do you play?”
You look over to where he is looking and chuckle, “Yeah my brother and I play, do you play?”
“Yeah I do! That’s awesome!” Wonwoo finally gets up from his spot against the wishes of George and walks over to your collection of games.
He starts to look through the titles as you join him in the living room. “I have these and I have a few more on my PC, mostly just League though.” He looks up at you and looks at you in awe. You are unsure what made this happen but you just smile at him.
“Wanna duo?”
[11:37 pm]
Family chaos has never been your favourite thing to deal with. Family chaos during the planning of your own wedding? Arguably 15 times worse. The past year has been a mess of decisions and people over your shoulder trying to give their thoughts where they were most certainly not welcome.
They say that your wedding is supposed to be the couple’s special day where you can celebrate your love, but so far it has been literally anything but that. It has been a chance for your family to comment on your decisions and try to convince you that their opinion is the correct one.
The venue, the music, the clothing, the cake, the food, the guest list, everyone thought that they had a say about your “special day,” and with it finally being only 2 weeks away, it feels like everything is coming to a melting point.
You walk into your room, exhausted and drained from the bridal shower you just came from. You decided to invite your close friends and family to the event, but the lunch of course had to feature classic family commentary. First it was about your choice of clothing for the event, then it had to be about the fact that your fiance was there and “that wasn’t very traditional,” but it was the comment your cousin made complaining about the restaurant choice that was your final straw.
Once the lunch was over you quickly thanked everyone and immediately walked to the car, waiting for your fiance to drive you both home. You didn’t talk to anyone, staying silent all the way home. You were fuming, replaying the events of the day in your head, trying to find any way you could avoid them moving forward if you wanted to at least try to enjoy your wedding.
Now you lay on your bed, your hands over your face, trying desperately not to cry. You hear the soft footsteps of your fiance walking into the room, softly closing the door behind him. You focus on taking deep breaths in and out as you feel the spot on the bed beside you dip as he takes a seat next to you. He gently puts his hand on your knee, softly letting you know that he is here for you when you are ready.
Jihoon always had a way of being able to ground you and bring you peace without even saying a word. Just him being there brought you a sense of peace that no one else in your life ever could.
His thumb on your knee was drawing comforting circles as he silently supported you.
“I’m sorry this is happening my love.”
You moved your hands from your face and turned to look at the man sitting on the edge of the bed next to you. Jihoon looked back at you with a soft smile, one of sympathy and warmth.
You sat up on the bed and moved to rest your head on his shoulder as his hand remained on your leg. “It’s not your fault, none of this is, it’s all just my family and their stupid need to say something all the time. I’m sorry you’re marrying into this.” you say with a tired chuckle.
“Don’t apologize for anything like that, I’d ask you to marry me every day no matter what the circumstances as long as I get to be with you.”
You sigh against his shoulder, the threat of tears returning. You remain silent for a bit trying to decompress from the day.
“What if we elope.”
You sit up straight to look at Jihoon in the face. Unsure of if you heard him right you have to ask for clarification. “What?”
“What if we just elope. You and me. Now. It will be our moment, it might take off the pressure from the wedding. I don’t care about a wedding, I care about being with you.”
You look at him and try to think about it. It’s always been just you and him. You have been dealing with so many voices related to the wedding you almost forgot why you were even doing it in the first place. It was always about Jihoon and getting to spend the rest of your life by his side. Supporting him and him supporting you through everything.
“I just think that if we take meaning away from the wedding then it might be a little easier to handle.” His hand moves from your knee to your hand that was resting in your lap. He picks up your hand and brings it to his lips, softly kissing your knuckles. “What do you say?”
The suggestion makes sense. It more than makes sense. It feels right. “Let’s go get married.”

[1:15 pm]
The sounds of the house were eerily quiet as you padded around the living room. Your steps were soft as you paced, but every step felt like you were walking with bricks attached to your feet. How were you going to bring this conversation up to your husband? You knew deep down there was nothing to fear and that he would always support you. But at the same time, the idea of such a big change… it was terrifying.
Standing in the centre of the room, you took a deep breath in and slowly let it out, letting your eyes close and at least some of the stress melt away. Once you opened your eyes, you looked down the hall to find your husband’s office door open, with his light on.
You walked down the hallway and stood in the doorway, watching your husband type away on his office computer. Yunho was very focused on whatever he was working on, finally locking in on his work after a morning of hectic meetings that you could hear from down the hall. After a few moments he noticed a presence and looked up to find you watching him. He smiled and pushed away from his desk to take a quick break with the person he loves. “Hello love,” he says as he pulls you in for a hug.
You wrap your arms around him and feel the rest of your stress melt away as the conversation you knew you needed to have began to feel less and less daunting.
“Decided to visit your favourite boy during work today?”
You laughed and lightly hit your forehead against his chest before pulling back to look him in the eye, “Of course, but I also wanted to chat with you, is now a good time?”
“Anytime is a good time with you,” He said with the cheesiest wink imaginable.
Regardless of how serious a conversation may need to be, there was always a level of foolishness that Yunho brought to every conversation. Often times it was welcomed, there are some times where he knows it isn’t the right move and he avoids it, but there was always a level of comfort that the sillness provided.
With a big sigh, you decided to speak, “Yunho, I’m late.”
He looks down at you with his big eyes, slightly swaying from side to side with you in his arms, almost dancing to a tune in his head. “Oh love, that’s ok, where are you planning on going?”
“No Yunho, I’m late.”
“Oh.” And everything stops.
The movement from side to side, the silly noises, he’s now locked in. “How late?”
“We are now on day 3.”
“Oh that’s pretty late.”
The silence that follows is thick, you both know what this could mean. It felt like hours had passed in the mere seconds both of you stared at each other. He continued to hold you as you froze together.
“Well…” After far too long of agonizing silence, he finally decided to say something. “It was bound to happen eventually with how much w-” “YUNHO.”
You both looked at each other again, at this point you couldn’t hold back the laughter and overwhelming emotions. He was laughing and looking down at you as you laughed with him, tears starting to fall.
“Awwww my baby, don’t cry, it’s all going to be ok.” He pulled you in tighter, one hand on your back moving up and down slowly, while the other was pulling your head to his chest. “No matter what happens we will be ok.”
The tears won’t stop streaming down your face and you pull him closer to you, trying to surround yourself in him. You knew deep down everything was going to be ok, but the possibility of such a big change was a scary thought.
You pull back a bit to look up at him, your eyes red from the tears. He looks at you with his classic pout, moving his hand from your head to wipe away your tears. “Aww, my love. What do you need from me right now?”
“Just you.”
“You always have me.” His hand stays on your cheek as he wipes away and stray tears and strokes your face softly.
“Did you take a test?” He asks gently, almost afraid to scare you.
“No I wanted to tell you first.”
“Well thank you for telling me.” He says with a smile. “But our next step should probably be to get a test. I can run out and get you on.”
“Ok.” You say in almost a whisper. “Yuyu?”
“Yes love?”
Both of you haven’t moved as you continue to look for comfort in his arms.
“What if it’s positive?”
“Then we will talk about what you want to do and go to the doctor.” He says warmly, starting to sway side to side.
“What do you want?”
“I want you to be happy and healthy. If that means we have a family a little sooner than expected then we do that, and if it means we don’t then we don’t.”
You can feel the tears coming back as you hide your face in his chest once more. The feeling of every possibility is anxiety-inducing, but having Yunho there to support your every step fills you with an overwhelming feeling of love.
He continues to sway you both gently from side to side until you’re ready to face the daunting next step to reveal the truths. But right now you knew two things. One: everything was going to be fine, and two: Yunho will always be there for you.
[10:28 pm]
The sunlight was pouring through the window on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Your eyes were scanning the page in the book you were currently reading, but your mind was racing somewhere else, thinking about everything except for the words in your novel.
From your spot on the couch you could see the figure of your boyfriend hunched over the keyboard of his desk. His head was bopping to some new beat he was conjuring in his headphones, his finger occasionally hitting a key as he added another layer to the tune he was building.
It was just one of those days where he was just on your mind. You just couldn’t help but contemplate you and him and you together. Your present life together, your past and the memories you shared together, and the future you want to build together.
After realizing you have been looking past your book for a good 10 minutes just watching your boyfriend produce his group’s next hit song, you put your book down on the coffee table and watched the artist at work. His eyes shifted from one monitor to the next, scribbling notes in between. He would hum to himself the next beat he wanted to add before he recorded it. He worked so fluidly, you just couldn’t help but stare at him in wonder.
He was so absorbed in his work he didn’t notice your eyes shine in pride and awe, watching him work away and create his art. There was something about this moment that almost made you tear up. The idea that he was comfortable enough to let you see the intimate process of creating his work. That your home was safe and inspiring enough that your shared space could be an environment that could foster some of his most prized work. It was moving.
Seeing your movement off the couch, Hongjoong looked up from his computer for a moment to watch you walk over to him. As you moved behind him, he returned his focus to the screen, assuming that you would be walking past him, but he stilled as he felt your arms wrap around him.
He moved one side of his headphones off his ear, “Everything ok?” He asked trying to turn his head to look at you. You softly dropped your head to the nook of his neck and let out a sigh. Not a negative sigh, no not at all. A sigh of ease, a sigh of love.
“I love you.” You mumbled into his neck.
Hongjoong chuckled softly, his body shaking slightly with every laugh, making you smile against him.
“What’s so funny about my love, Kim Hongjoong?” You say now standing up, your words trying to carry some bite to them, but your voice was filled with too much softness to carry any true harshness.
With you taking a step away, Hongjoong was finally able to turn his office chair to face you. He looked up at you, his hands going straight to your hips to bring you closer to him.
“I wouldn’t dare laugh at your love for me, it’s just so out of nowhere, what’s up?” His thumbs absentmindedly trace your hips as he looks up at you.
“I just… wanted you to know I love you.”
“Well I love you too, I love you a lot.”
You look down at him and smile, your hands moving to the back of his neck, playing with the hair that’s starting to cover the back of his neck.
“Joong, do you ever think about what our future looks like?”
“Like what the future might look like with us together?”
You hesitate for a second, slightly afraid of having a conversation like this, but your curiosity wins over any potential fear. “Yeah, like… what will our relationship will look like in the future?”
He pauses for a moment, his thumbs still moving along the skin on your hips, but the gears in his brain were turning.
“Like this, no?”
You looked at him slightly confused. “What do you mean?”
“Just, comfortable. I don’t think this is what you wanted to hear, but the future is always uncertain, I’m just certain that you will be in it. So it will be how today is, comfortable and with you.”
You silently watch him explain to you what love means to him. Comfort. With that you lean down and give him a loving kiss, your hand never leaving the nape of his neck.
You whisper against his lips, eyes still closed, “I love you so much.”
He whispers back, “I love you more.”
