I have seen 8 of these movies. The Godfather would easily be my favorite. As the total number of subjects, we have written about closes in on 2,000. Finding new subjects to write about is not the easiest. Not saying there are not good subjects left…..just the subjects I pick are the “next level” of movie stars.
One of the things I do is look at the 25 major Oscar nominated people for a single year…Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress. I will eventually have a year in which I am 25 for 25 with UMR pages for that year. That is how I picked John Marley as a subject. For 1970….of the 25 nominated people…this makes us have only 19 UMR pages. 1970 nominated people without an UMR page include directors Fredrico Fellini, Ken Russell, and Arthur Hiller. Thespians Richard Castellano, Chief Dan George and Sarah Miles.
