Misplaced?

[edit]

I've always been wondering why this property is grouped with id's rather than ordinary properties

Please note that the "id" in the name of this property refers to the id of a photo in Mapillarys collection. It's not an external id of any physical object referred to by a wikidata item. In essence it serves the same function as the name of a wikimedia Commons image and should be grouped with those. --Hjart (talk) 08:02, 23 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Intended usage?

[edit]

This property seems to for now on Wikidata be used to just add random Mapillary images as "external identifiers" to indicate some type of depicts relation. On Commons this would make sense but could we remove it from Wikidata items? Abbe98 (talk) 13:06, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I agree this should probably never be used on Wikidata, but make perfect sense on Commons, eg. on an image like File:Visseringstraat_-_Mapillary_(gJNsiO7IvUJpRrIA0beVSQ).jpg. For using it as an image ground level 360 degree view URL (P5282) could be used instead (if it is a photospere). Ainali (talk) 13:49, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Eigenschaftseinschränkung „eindeutiger Wert“

[edit]

Warum kann eine Mapillary "id" nicht für mehrere Wikidata Objekte genutzt werden, wenn diese dort abgebildet werden? Why can a mapillary 'id' not be used for several Wikidata objects if they are mapped there? Lutzto (talk) 11:10, 13 Feb 2021 (UTC)

Agree that is odd -2001:9B1:40AF:DF00:6558:48F9:295B:A710 05:37, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
