Subtle problem
[edit]Consider the fictional characters Clark Kent (Q867810) and Lois Lane (Q845922). Is this group of characters fictitious? Or is it just the characters that are fictitious, while the grouping I defined is real? If the grouping I defined isn't real, then what about it makes it not real? If merely discussing something that is fictional makes the discussion itself fictional, then doesn't that make the Wikipedia article Superman fictional? Are fictional articles allowed on Wikipedia? Etc.--Anders Feder (talk) 19:49, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
- This might be a fictional flirt. Fictional group are analogs to real groups in wikidata, such as The Avenger, it's a group in fiction, it's not only an arbitrary real grouping irl of fictional stuffs. A real wikipedia article does not seem anything but real, but as I don't really think we have meta-article or meta-item in the sense "items about articles", answering the question does not seem to be urgent :) Fictional articles are allowed if they are notable per WD:N as anything else. author TomT0m / talk page 06:32, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- Fictional articles are never allowed on Wikipedia because a fiction by definition is not verifiable – if it was, it would be fact, not fiction. There is definitely a distinction to be drawn between real discussion about a fiction and the fiction itself.--Anders Feder (talk) 14:21, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
