Academic source for his mother
[edit]Some claim his mother was the Serbian princess Mara. The eminent Ottoman history scholar İsmail Hami Danişmend does not only refute this idea but goes a step further to say that "claiming that Fatih's mother was a foreigner ("ecnebi", i.e. christian, note by E4024) is not only wrong but also is ridiculous". Reftag for those who wish to use this in WPs. : [1] (Page 200) --E4024 (talk) 22:39, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
