Lighthouses

[edit]

Thank you for your effort of adding photos to lighthouse items. Unfortunatly, most of your additions was photos of the wrong lighthouse. I have reverted your edits regarding lighthouses in Sweden and Finland and will post a notice on Wikidata:WikiProject Lighthouses to ask others to revert your edits regarding lighthouses in other countries. /ℇsquilo 13:32, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Azerbaijani cities' coats of arms

[edit]

Hello! You've added coats of arms images to several Azerbaijani cities, with the recent one being this. Just wanted to inform you that none of these coats of arms are official and were made by a graphic designer as imaginary coats of arms. You can learn more about it here. So, if you stumble upon any, please delete them instead of adding a new one. Cheers! CuriousGolden (talk) 18:26, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Portrait" of Giovanni Faber

[edit]

Hello, @Deliawrite, Today I supressed the image of the Wkidata-page on Giovanni Faber. There is more tan a doubt that This man who is drawn on this picture is really Giovanni Faber. Would you please read about This picture on the discussion-page or on the discussion pages by English or french Wikipédia- articles about Giovanni Fabre. This image ist an extract of a printing of Peter-Paul Rubens: self-portrait with a circle of friends in Mantua. One thinks This man could be Richardot, others think it could be Galileo (This is also my opinion)... and others think it could be Giovanni Faber. But so far I know, nobody have brought any proof, it's really one or another of these personage.

So far I know, This image has been cut on the Internet-website of Accademia dei Lincei in Roma. I wrote there, but they were not able to bring a proof that This man is Giovanni Faber. So long the identity of This personage is not clearly established, it's better that Faber has not any "portrait". Wikipédia, Wikidata would not diffuse false or uncertain informations.

Contains

[edit]

The property contains (P4330) is not a good means of linking an island, such as Fetlar (Q586660), to the many things that are on it. Rather, the things that are on it should point back to the Fetlar item using properties such as located in/on physical feature (P706). You can quickly see that contains (P4330) fails by considering the case of, say, the UK item, Q145: should it 'contain' an entry for every other item which is in the UK? That way madness lies. --Tagishsimon (talk) 10:28, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Whilst I'm here & looking at your edits: please, a single image (P18) per item is ample. The point of P18 is not to provide a gallery, but a single representative image. Commons is the location for multiples of images, and the wikidata item should point to the commons category. thx. --Tagishsimon (talk) 10:33, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
