Motivation
[edit]We currently have a property for who broadcasts an event (broadcast by (P3301)), but in figuring out a data model that creates items for broadcasts themselves, I realized that we need a property creates a relationship between the event item and the broadcast item. - @Сидик из ПТУ, So9q: My only opposition is that I find that main subject (P921) has a fundamentally different definition than what is being proposed. main subject (P921) is for subjects: broad terms defining something. For example, Example 1's main subject (P921) would be swimming (Q31920). This property is meant to link events and broadcasts. Therefore, this relationship is different. - swimming (Q31920) is for sport (P641). main subject (P921) is good here. swimming (Q31920) will be main subject (P921) only if the work will be about this sport, not about specific competition of this sport. Сидик из ПТУ (talk) 16:26, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Сидик из ПТУ: Sooo you are sure you don't want to create this just for constraint/ease-of-use purposes either? It'd be kind of silly to withdraw this and then maybe come back to it in the future if documenting broadcasts ever takes off. Lectrician1 (talk) 17:16, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
