Choosing the wrong Covid test provider can cost people up to 200 euros more than they need to pay, according to a survey conducted by Finnish Consumers' Association.
The union compared the prices of coronavirus tests carried out by various companies and found that the largest price differences were in asymptomatic testing.
People often need a PCR Covid test before they can board a plane or cross a border. By taking the time to compare different providers, travellers could end up saving hundreds of euros in cheaper testing and fit-to-fly certificates.
The union added that consumers should also be wary of test-related surcharges, which can inflate the final bill even further by tens or even hundreds of euros.
The Consumers’ Union of Finland is a "a non-governmental organisation which is dedicated to promote the interests and rights of consumers nationwide," the organisation's website reads.
