All 200 of Finland's Members of Parliament will be permitted to sit in the plenary hall at the same time from 5 October.

Due to Covid restrictions, only 74 MPs have been allowed to participate in plenary sessions at a time, but the office of the Speaker of Parliament announced on Friday afternoon that restrictions can be lifted as 82 percent of MPs are fully vaccinated.

This figure means that 36 MPs have only received one or no doses of a coronavirus vaccine so far.

Parliamentary committees will also be able to return to their designated meeting rooms, the office added.
