Yle's MOT investigations team has learned that the National Enforcement Authority has confiscated property in Finland related to two Kremlin-supporting figures from Russia.
Pavel Gusev is editor of Russia's biggest tabloid newspaper, Moskovskij Komsomolets, and openly supported Vladimir Putin's bid for election in 2018. Grigory Berezkin is an investor considered close to Vladimir Putin. Both are on European Union sanctions lists.

Berezkin has a rally team that has operated in Jyväskylä, for whom he has driven in a Ford Fiesta R5. Finland's state debt collector has confiscated those vehicles and other property owned by the ESN team, in order to stop them being sold and the proceeds going to Berezkin.
Together with his ex-wife, Gusev owns a holiday home and 20 hectares of land in Janakkala, Kanta-Häme. That property has similarly been confiscated by the agency to prevent Gusev profiting from his share of the property.
Yle's MOT investigations unit was unable to reach Berezkin or Gusev for comment before publication.
